As Scott mentioned, towards the back of the lower tier of the current stand is pretty horrific for views as the top tier overlaps & it ends up giving you a letterbox view so I think anything would be an improvement on it's current state  ;D

In terms of distance from the pitch it should be fine, I sit in the upper corner of the main stand quite a fair bit and the view there is great, I think you get to take in more of the game & appreciate the tactics better from afar, as opposed to being on the first row of a lower tier for instance

Agree that higher up is better than being "too" close. True in most sports, actually. The first time at Anfield I was in the press seating and that was the perfect "in-between." The stand I'm thinking of at OT is somewhere near the International Space Station, like.  :)

These are mock-ups, no official images have been released as far as I am aware, I think the corners may have some seats, but the architecture of the stands means they won't be turned into a bowl like corner.

FSG have upgraded Fenway, but kept the historical look of the baseball ground.

I don't think it'll be too long, and I suspect the Club will want the get this started as soon as they can.

They can not do anything with the corners as it’s what’s holding the roof up, may be they could get away with up too 5 rows at the very front of corners but that would be it

Only time I’ve managed to get a ticket, I was sitting in those very seats. It wasn’t bad until everyone inevitably starts standing up and you can’t see a thing.

Ridiculous aren't they! Think they only knock a couple of quid off the ticket price too - should be massively reduced for what you get!

The Operations guy for the club said they will re-route the road slightly, moving it a bit closer to the stand (as they can't move it into the Park) and this reduced by a small amount how many new seats will be created as a result.

Sounds like a good compromise to not inconvenience those who use the road, but still allow many more fans to see the games.

At least we haven't got a railway line stopping us from redevelopment like they have at the Old Toilet.

They could have if they wanted to.

Tricky but definitely possible. Could/should have made it into a 2 tier stand.

English Premier League football club Manchester United will debut the ‘Seat of Dreams’ at Old Trafford for Sunday’s match against Liverpool, with the UK-first initiative part of an expanded partnership with Marriott Hotels.

The venture from United and the flagship brand of Marriott International will give fans at every game the chance to experience matchday from a unique vantage point in Old Trafford while enjoying special perks including complimentary food and drinks, early entry to the stadium, and the opportunity to meet club legends.

United and Marriott believe the Seat of Dreams represents the only concept of its kind to be found within a UK sports stadium. The experience will be awarded to fans at random through a complimentary upgrade to their existing match ticket. The Seat of Dreams will host four fans at every home game.

The debut of the Seat of Dreams marks the kick-off of a larger relationship between Manchester United and Marriott Hotels, with the hotel brand becoming the club’s first-ever official hotel partner. Marriott International had initially agreed a multi-year global marketing partnership with United back in February.

Shrewsbury had something similar during the FA cup game which for a club like that makes it look unique, the mancs doing it makes it look F***ing embarrassing.

Horrific. Wonder how many general admission tickets they've sacrificed for that monstrosity - reckon you could fit another 20 or so seats there instead!
