Does any one know if we get to redevelop sir Kenny Dalglish stand would we have to knock down one row of houses or would we have to go to the road behind and knock 2nd row of houses?

I really don't think that's on the cards at all.
They'd probably require CPO for most of the houses, and I suspect the council won't even go there, and rightly so.

If I was a foolish betting man, I'd go for the Kop being redeveloped 1st, with a second tier and safe standing.

Given the way things are developing I fully expect to see safe standing in the Kop in a future phase of development.

But safe standing is still only folding chairs with safety bars, no extra fans in that section, one chair = 1 standing fan.

Depends on how it’s done. Look up Dortmund’s. They reduce capacity when “The Yellow Wall” is in seated configuration.

It's going to be such a sweet stadium next season with the all shiny new ARE completed.
Hopefully whenever some new investment kicks in, the King Kenny stand gets a revamp to match/better the Main Stand and eventually the Kop can be turned into the standing Red Wall it should be...

So when construction is complete do they just lower the new section down on top of the existing stand, or is wheeled/railed forward?

No it will be all connected think it will be higher just like they did to the main stand, need to remove the old roof

I had a look at Skyscraper and there really are not any images of the new stand going up, it's all drone footage, which for me is a real shame.

Why on earth would you want to reduce the capacity makes no sense.

There’s all that derelict land on the other side of the ground, LFC could build homes for them and give them a nice bonus to move.
We would spend a lot but in the long run we would make it back with a full new stand.

Been talks a long time about regeneration of that area , can’t remember if the club still owns it

The family/fan area could do well with being brought back.
Was great when I was there. Shame to lose it with the stand redevelopment.

The KD stand will prob need a refresh , it’s not great sitting there and I suspect there will be some seats lost but not too many

I think, with the refresh of the Kenny Dalglish Stand seeing a reduction in capacity, we'll probably see
moves towards safe standing at some point. That'll be the refresh that is then seen in the Kop.
Like Dortmund has.
