Can we not play one of the youth strikers, anything would be better than Lambert and I've just about had enough of Henderson, he is way up there on the list of worst footballers we've ever had at the club.
      Borini and Can  :-\
I think we would have had a great chance of winning if those two were on the field..

Guess what our manager is going to say?

"The players showed courage. I am proud of the players, especially Henderson."

To have ONLY Lambert as a striker(with all the respect to him) is playing without movement and pressing up front, we cannot score if is not a move from Raheem, coutinho, Gerrard etc,
seeing just cannot score ends up being a bit ''happy'' with a point
just hope we don't get rid of Lucas in january(as rumoured) , He is by far one of our best players atm, MOTM for me with Raheem close by

Just the point so. Lots of possession near the end, no end product. One striker in the squad today, no goals  - one striker ! - our 'main' problem won't go away until we've better striking options. To be honest, we've done OK to get 7 from 9 coming off the form we were in.
Ship still relatively steady, clean sheet which is good, didn't loose, and could've knicked this one too.
Can't really understand why Can's not getting any time. Thought he looked decent on a couple of occasions.
Apart from that, expect more tweaking and tinkering, but results like this to continue until BR ditches Borini and Mario in Jan and brings in a marque man :)

BRENDAN is stuck in last season. Clearly he is looking for the spark in the same crop of players and hoping something reconnects.

Rickie 'Slow Train Coming' Lambert being our top striker is sad.

Having lambert just stops the flow he cant play v Basle surely . Henderson looking like he was when he first came average at best. He will never boss midfield and is good at pressing not a lot else.

I'd love to see how this 11 would do...

      Mignolet
      Johnson - Skrtel - Toure - Moreno
      Lucas - Can
      Lallana - Coutinho - Sterling

Our attack is nearly as bad as Hodgson days. So lackluster, absolutely no desire from the players. Do they even want champions league next season? Why was the  majority of our attack going out wide for crosses too? This is getting beyond ridiculous now.

How does Henderson play and Can didn't?

Worryingly, is it attitude over ability with Rodgers?

Worryingly Rodgers seems to have favourites who unfortunately consistently let him dos.

Henderson getting a lot of stick and rightly so but imo Lallana was equally anonymous, which  is what he has been for most of the season and he was one of our marquee signings!

Being stuck out as a right winger doesn't help. I think his favoured position is either #10 or left ? But I agree, he too was diabolical. Also, If we do play Sterling as a wide player, he should be playing on the right, not left. I always found he's more effective on the right than left.

Lallana has been injured, and when he came back, found himself in and out of the side all season

Hendo on the other hand has played most games and has been utter toilet throughout most of it

It's ridiculous how Brendan has treated quite a few of the players.

Once he has an agenda he just lets that person rot regardless of the club's successes or downfalls.

Someone has noticed at last !

You could make a Thread just out of that .

Its the good of the team not his ego.

I do believe you have a point mate and the Reina/Agger situations tend to come into my thinking about it. If I could be bothered (which I can't) I posted something straight after the window shut that I don't think Borini will get any minutes based purely on what you're suggesting mate.

It's wrong and pride/winning an argument or proving a point shouldn't come before making the right choice for the club. I feel not playing Borini and certainly not having him on the bench is proving a mistake. He would give us at least the movement up top that would affect the game.

      .
Win at home and draw away was our 60's/70s mantra in Europe.
Could start at that point just for the PL.

BR: We've taken seven points from nine this week which is a good return for us.

he has such low expectations that the players feel great after a home draw. That's Hull, Villa, Sunderland that we have scored 0 against at home.

      F**k me we are dreadful.

That's the talk of a mid table manager, sounds like when he first arrived here.
