Demba Ba [Besiktas]

Liverpool have made a bid to sign Demba Ba from Besiktas, according to Turkish newspaper AMK.

Ba made the £6million move from Chelsea to the Turkish side in the summer but reports suggest that AC Milan, Monaco and the Reds have already tried to snap up the front man.

It is understood that Ba would be open to a move back away from the Turkish Super Lig, despite the fact he has been performing ahead of expectations this season.

He has scored 15 times in 17 appearances so far this season for Besiktas.

Ba famously capitalised on Steven Gerrard's slip while playing for Chelsea, all but ending Liverpool's title hopes last season.

Really? At this point I think he'd be as good or better than what we are putting on the field. he's scored at an alarming rate this year in an admittedly lesser league. I think he'd be a good player for us considering where we are.

Why the hate? He will be a massive upgrade on Balotelli and Lambert. Is quick and like to run behind the defense. He is better than nothing!
