Proven goal scorer. Good movement. Team player. Everything Balotelli isn't really.

The Striker we should have signed in the summer, I'd gift wrap Lambert, Borini and Balotelli for this to happen.

when considering transfer rumours, ask yourself the following questions of the player in question:

      1) is he a top player?
      2) will he have a high transfer fee?
      3) will he have high wages?
      4) will he improve us right away?

if yes to any or all of the above, then assume it's a BS rumour.

The striker I wanted in the summer (along with Alexandre Lacazette).

Imagine a strikeforce of Martinez, Lacazette, Sturridge and Origi next season. Yes, they'd cost a bit but we should be able to raise funds with the sale of Borini, Balotelli and Lambert.

Ah but you see those signings would only make football sense that's not how FSG operate.

Not so sure we will be raising money from the sale of those three... What would you expect to get for Lambert and balotelli?

Borini we would be lucky to get 10 mill. Should've sent him on in the summer, we'll never get that money offered for him again

Realistically, we'd be lucky to get £20 mil for Balo + Borini.

Why? I think quiet the opposite, we´d get more than in the summer.
Sunderland struggle for goals, they´re deep in relegation scrap. We have an upper hand in this deal. We dont need to sell while Sunderland will be desperate to get him. And its a January window after all.

Which should more or less pay for Alexandre Lacazette

We should be over the moon if we got £20 million for those two. I just don't trust Rodgers to sign the type of striker we need with that money.

Can someone who has actually watched him play on a regular basis tell me/us what type of striker he is? what are his main triats and is he comfortable on the ball?

Last season maybe but he's been knocking in the goals this season so add another £5-10M

Scarily true. But we must be due a Coutinho or Sturridge type signing now shouldn't we?

You could pick quite a few; Loris Karius, Xherdan Shaqiri, Yevhen Konoplyanka, Fabian Schar, Alexandre Lacazette, Wissam Ben Yedder. All young players with bags of potential, all should be obtainable and all should be available for less than £20m (bar Lacazette perhaps).

Overrated on that price tag. Bony is better value.
