He's still a Chav player, only on loan to AC Milan, so he can't play against the Rentboys, but I make be wrong.

Thats Why I specified BUYING him.

Things I learned tonight or had confirmed

Sterling is young and I've probably been expecting too much from him

      Markovic is a class act

We need a new number one

      Sakho is better than Lovren

Last few games tell me the tide is turning. Slowly.

      Can is fit*

*Yes I'm aware how that sounds  :D

Looking much better going forward now, Lallana and Sterling were fantastic and they had some good support from Hendo and Markovic. Defensively still shaky and I'm not convinced about using that system against Arsenal but boy was it nice to see us finally playing some good stuff.

Getting the same feeling as a couple of years back regarding this run. Do remember us going into the draw last year with two smaller teams and City and we got them and dumped them out. Similar thing tonight although the fact we are home first worries me a lot.

Sterling isn't a striker but looks more of a fit there than Balotelli, Borini or Lambert.  Does need a partner up there though.  Thought Lallana did well today again.

Gave MOTM to Markovic.  Involved in both goals - his pass broke the deadlock.  He faded in the second half but then he has hardly played a full 90.

Pleased that we avoided that banana skin.  Semi Final's a free hit now because nobody will be expecting us to go through anyway.

Ha ha the face on Souness when Redknapp pulled out Chelsea that was some look he threw him

      haha
first he was happy he drew liverpool at home 1st, than he changed his smile to a nasty look at jamie when he drew number 1, as if saying, what the f*ck are you doing

well you must beat anyone to win a throphy, be it chavs-spuds or sheffield
its a month from now so we could well be that we have turned our season to better by that time

sterling was brilliant today and Markovic , well he seems to be getting to the form he had with benfica

Last 2 games showed that a mobile striker changes the whole complexion of our attack. We were so fluid and quick on the attack. Sterling's movement and playing off the shoulder of a defender at times was a joy to watch. Lallana was great too, kept the ball well and was very creative. As for Coutinho, he  frustrates me, his decision making when he gets in and around the box seems to be poor, something he needs to work on.

Still not liking the Lucas and Gerrard combination, I just think it's a poor balance in the middle. Lucas is a defense minded player and quite often, goes looking for the ball, Gerrard does the same too which left a lot of space a head of them.

Much better performance tonight from the reds, albeit against lower league opposition.
Sterling and Markovic were class, Lallana also impressive, wondering how long we may stick with this 3-4-3 formation, maybe until Sturridge is back (whenever that may be).
Alot of chopping changing within the midfield 4/5 between every single game but for me Gerrard, Henderson, Markovic + Lallana need to be starting as much as possible. If an extra body is required or a change is needed for the odd game then we can choose between Lucas, Coutinho + Allen depending on the opposition.

      Jones-6
      Toure-6
      Skrtel-6
      Lovren-6
      Henderson-7
      Lucas-6
      Gerrard-6
      Markovic-7.5
      Coutinho-6.5
      Lallana-7
      Sterling-8

Sakho-6.5 (Glad to see him get into the team, hope he can kick on now Lovren is injured)
      Can-6

First time ina while Ive enjoyed watching us.

How many passes for the first goal? Sublime football. And Kolos pass from the back to set up the 3rd, oldschool Liverpool. In fact for the first 50 odd minutes we done most things that we have not being doing this season

Not all rosey though there was still dodgy moments over the last 30 minutes but I suppose they wont disappear in 1 game

Big pluses today for me Kolo Lallana and the return of Sakho also the performance of Sterling and glimpses from Markovic. Lucas solid again

      Roll on the draw

yep was good match, but we need to do next step now against Arsenal..do you guys have some decent highlights?

It said in commentary there were 50 passes leading up to it looked at one stage to be going no where but fair play well constructed goal should give the lads some heart going into sunday .

I dont think we should play 3 at the back against arsenal.

I think Sterling is good upfront

When Sturridge is back we should try the new SAS ;D.

In the meanwhile i'd like to see Sterling and Balo.

      Mostly in control (cough)

To be fair, we always looked like we had another gear or 2 if we needed it.

Good win, well played lads, onwards and upwards.

Really good win. It's only Bournemouth but we look like the confidence is coming back.

Loved the goals, great team effort, and some finish by Markovic.

Won't even go into the back. Need a keeper desperately. That aside, lots of encouraging signs.

Even though it's great to get the win, it is still incredibly worrying how easily they were carving our defence to pieces and if they were more clinical tonight then they could easily have had 4 goals.

Just watched the game as had it recorded after playing footy tonight. What a great performance in general from all, and overall what a good game. Great performance from Bournemouth too! Very happy to see Sahko replace Lovren, as for me he still looked shaky. Surely Skrtel,Sahko and Touré must be on the selection sheet week in, week out. A shaky patch after they got one back, but I'd put that down to us taking our foot off the gas. Great performance from Sterling who showed a remarkable level maturity to get a brace after the Utd display. And a special mention to Stevie who looked as if he could run all night. Must have recharged the Duracells!

Now let's take this into Sundays game and make the Gunners tremble!

Some good signs, but not really a convincing performance. Good to see Sakho getting some game time. Sterling should've came off for Borini as soon as we scored the third. But that's just Rodgers being a knob head. Markovic clearly needs game time, and as soon as he gets it, he'll come through. Lallana looked very lively as well and the same applies. Coutinho should be used as a sub until he can find some form. And we NEED a keeper, BADLY.

Good performance overall although defense and goalkeeper need improvements. Sakho returning was another positive.
I still saw issues with Gerrard in midfield. As much as Lucas feels a natural in that position, as much as Gerrard feels awkward.
I do not know when we will see Can start in lieu of Gerrard. At this point it looks like the only thing that will push Gerrard to the bench is an injury. What is the point of buying a player like Can to keep him on the bench...?
I do not understand BR...
