A lot easier to bring him on for the last 20 or 30, especially if we're winning.

      I like your confidence :)

Hard to be match fit sitting on the bench.

A lot more of a gamble playing a fella who isn't match fit from the start as well.

If BR feels he has to get his fitness up by using him later on in games, who am I to argue?

I think people are making a lot of fuss over something little to be honest.

Can't see Borini come on. BR might get him to warm up tho ... just to piss him off more.

He wasn't dropped.  The fact that he's not even on the bench shows that he's being "rested."  You can pretty much guarantee he will be back in the starting XI against Arsenal.

      Anyway.

I don't understand why Sterling is playing again.  It wasn't too long ago Rodgers was talking about how important it is not to burn him out.  So he played 90 minutes Sunday, is playing again tonight, and presumably will play again against Arsenal in a few days time?

      Ok then.
I have no crystal balls re Allen. The manager has made the right call with Lucas instead so enjoy the moment. Agree with your second point, Sterling would do with a rest but we need a result.

      I always start out confident.
So far this season it hasn't lasted too long after the first whistle ;)

Contrary to what a lot of people seem to be saying, I thought we played pretty well against man u on sunday, and with a decent striker (Sturridge) in the team, we would have won it.

Hasn't anyone noticed that Can is overweight, not fit enough and can barely last an hour without blowing?
Yes, I know he's naturally chunky, but he's still carrying a bit extra.

When he's fit enough he'll start more games.
He's not played since the Chelsea game which was...weeks ago?

Thing is, even I could lose a around a stone in 2 to 3 weeks with the proper diet and exercise (my knee permitting), and I'm late 40s. So whilst I agree that Can does look slightly heavy set (similar to Molby though I think Can is just bigger built), I'm not buying his weight is keeping him off the field. At his age, with his metabolism, and everything else, he should be fit by now. I know he's been injured, but even so.

Whether you are someone who cherishes domestic cups or someone who is all too ready to (previously) dismiss them: there can be no doubting this game has become of significant importance.

I think we've already agreed to sell him in January, and that's why he's being left out.
An injury could scupper the deal.
So I'd be surprised if he got on tonight.
Although the way BR is chopping and changing his mind, anything is possible.
I mean it's possible he reads this forum, and put Borini on the bench to shut people up ;)

He's not quite there yet in terms of fitness.

Which is exactly why he should be starting these sort of games. I personally think he is just out of favour because this is about the 5th match running now.

      Fit is one thing.
Match fit is another, and carrying a bit of extra means it's unlikely he's near match fitness.
He's fu**ed after less than an hour.

That's all I think it is.
Again, I don't understand why people see this as an issue.
He'll get plenty of games in the future for us, because he is going to be an absolute beast of a player.
Personally, I'd rather he missed a few matches than run the risk of a bad injury which could set him back a lot.

Like I posted above, BR probably doesn't want to take the gamble.
There's times a manager has to gamble on a player, but I don't think this is one of them.
He can easily get some minutes under his belt in the latter stages of a match.

      I don't see it as a problem.
We are hardly crying out for players in centre mid.
Thats the one area we have plenty of cover in.

So then why did he start against Chelsea? Why would he gamble an overweight player who isn't ready to play games in such a big fixture?

And Emre isn't coming on later on in the game. He's sat on the bench for a full 90 most games.

If it's so important to you, ring BR and ask him, email him, write to him or whatever.

It might be a big issue to you, but frankly, I couldn't give a F**k because there are far more pressing concerns that need to be addressed.

I've said what I think, so take it or leave it because I'm looking forwards to the match and really can't be arsed with people spoiling for a row because a player got left out.

Not sure what the formation is gonna be here, but for sure itĀ“s an offensive one and I applaud that. Also,no Joe Allen  ;D and Markovic starts  :D!

This is the chance for Lazar to show what he can do.Just playing with him in Fifa 15 gives me the chills,heĀ“s a potential Bellamy, and we sure as hell need that. Also,Lovren was singled out for his mistake for that United goal, letĀ“s hope he gets it together and shows us a solid performance, same goes for Jones who I donĀ“t think had much to do in the United goals, maybe.

      CĀ“mon,a win is a must.Godspeed  8)
