Eh whatever, just play as hard as you can boys and do us proud.

Tired of worrying about formations and who is in and who is out...just want them to play like they still have a set.

Probably the strongest team on "current form". Allen rightly dropped, we cant say Can and Sakho are in better shape than Gerrard and Lovren so I´d stick with a managers opinion as he meets them daily. Jones has been good in these cup games apart from Oldham fiasco, just need to wake up after months sleeping on the bench.

Maybe a case for Moreno but both spanish fullbacks have to be introduced gradually - neither have made FB position their own. We also created tons of clear cut chances without recognised striker last time around thats why I like this pacey energetic forward line. Brendan going for it with the most attacking wingbacks you could imagine. Should be fun.

Must be a first. No striker. No FBs. Just CBs, and midfielders.
If we win 6-0, could catch on :)

Emre out again. Lovren in again. Sterling plays game number 57 for the season.

I thought we bought a squad. We bought expensive reserves is all we've done.

Can and Borini still not playing, what a joke! Not even Lambert, incapable of even playing a single striker against Bournemouth.

Hasn't anyone noticed that Can is overweight, not fit enough and can barely last an hour without blowing?
Yes, I know he's naturally chunky, but he's still carrying a bit extra.

When he's fit enough he'll start more games.

Why is it when a player is built they are deemed overweight?

He wasn't dropped.  The fact that he's not even on the bench shows that he's being "rested."  You can pretty much guarantee he will be back in the starting XI against Arsenal.

      Anyway.

I don't understand why Sterling is playing again.  It wasn't too long ago Rodgers was talking about how important it is not to burn him out.  So he played 90 minutes Sunday, is playing again tonight, and presumably will play again against Arsenal in a few days time?

      Ok then.

So overweight but he was superb against the best midfield in the country.

      I thought I mentioned that.

He's still carrying a bit extra around the middle.
He's blowing hard after less than an hour.

He's not quite there yet in terms of fitness.
No big deal to me, he had an injury or 2 and it's taken more time to get up to full fitness because of the time it happened (when he was still getting his match fitness).
Like I said, I'm confident he'll start more games when he is at or near 100%

Can looked a tad soft, but he was no Jan Molby (who did pretty OK carrying the extra payload)
Even if he got 60 mins, would do him good - you can't beat actual games to get the fitness up.

Why are we copying Man Utd? playing wide attacking players as wing backs? seriously, no balance in the team formation and selection.

I can't believe our best player is gonna play wing back and not a focal point in the middle.

Hope it's Hendo and Lucas sitting, though not a fan of Hendo sitting, better than Gerrard & Lucas partnership

      For less than an hour.

I don't know what the fuss is.
I simply don't think he is fully match fit, and I think it's easy to see.

I also think that when he is fully match fit he will (or should) start more games.

Hard to be match fit sitting on the bench.

      ;)

      Centre backs, midfielders, strikers.

      ;D

I'm not sure though Bournemouth are in a scoring mood, as were Basel. We on the other hand........

Aah F**k it, let's ave it!

Can't believe he's still not resting Sterling.
Maybe he's hoping that if he runs him into the ground enough Real Madrid won't want him and he'll have to accept our below-the-market-rate wage offer.

There aren't many games where I think Ricky Lambert is the guy I want up front, but this would be one.

Fair point, but maybe BR see's that 60 mins as more of a gamble with him in there.
A lot easier to bring him on for the last 20 or 30, especially if we're winning.

You could have a run of quallity games while overweight like Tom Huddlestone, but it will catch you later, with a red card or freak injury for instance which been the case with Can prety much so far. Emre will be a 30mil young Schweinsteiger in the eyes of LFC supporters by the time he gets back onto the pitch.
