Burnley 0:1 Liverpool. In game & post match smash and grab.
      Dec 26, 2014 01:59:38 pm

Starting XI: Jones, Skrtel, Toure, Sakho, Markovic, Gerrard, Lucas, Henderson, Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling

Subs: Mignolet, Lambert, Moreno, Manquillo, Can, Balotelli, Ojo

Brendan Rodgers has named an unchanged line-up for Liverpool's Barclays Premier League clash at Burnley, where 17-year-old Sheyi Ojo has been named among the substitutes.

The Reds tackle the Clarets at 3pm GMT and the manager has kept faith with exactly the same starting XI that began Sunday's 2-2 draw with Arsenal at Anfield.

There are changes on the bench, however. Mario Balotelli returns to the squad, while Ojo - a versatile forward from the U21s - is handed an opportunity in the 18-man selection.

Same again then. We need 3 points more than ever forget top 4 I'm on about survival.
What has Can got to do to get a game is he injured?
BR says he will rest Steve and Raheem but they have both played more minutes than almost everyone in the division.

Get 3 points and maybe we can enjoy something from This god awful first half of the season

      Bah humbug

I think this is the best side we can put out at the moment, apart from the keeper's position which is hotly debatable. Hope that the lads deliver a knockout punch to secure all three points.

That's definitely the team I'd start with. Very positive looking team.
I'd like to see Can get some minutes, and it would be class if we were comfortable enough to bring on you Ojo at some point.

Feeling very confident now, lets rip them to shreds!

Think we'll be resting Gerrard and Sterling for the Swansea game then with it being in the middle of the 3 Premier League games in quick succession.

No complaints about the team for me, hopefully we get comfortably ahead so Ojo gets some minutes but at the moment I'd take any win, even if it's a 90th minute winner.

      Great OP Clint A +

Pleased to see a unchanged X1, hopefully see a similar performance to the arse match,

Can only see a Reds victory but won't be easy, the 'Ginger Mourinho' has worked wonders at Turf Moor and are capable of giving any side problems ,

I'm expecting a tough match with Burnley making it very difficult, especially first half, however I can see us being dominant for large periods and being prolific as players tire after the hour,

Congrats to young Ojo, hope he's given some game time , good luck young fella, knock your socks off  !

1-2 Redmen , Sterling & Lallana bagging the goodies

Surprised about that - would have thought that would have been the toughest of the the three.

Who cares about that? The bigger issue is Pascoe not wearing shorts! :0

Because Gerrard is a better player? Because Gerrard is much fitter right now? Because Gerrard has had time to adapt to Rodgers philosophy (One of the key reasons that has been given for his lack of playing time)? There is a great player in Can, but I am not surprised at all that he hasn't featured much yet. He'll get his minutes, but he'll have to be patient for them.

Happy with the line up. Hopefully Coutinho bosses the game again.

Would love to see Can and Ojo come on in the second half for Stevie and Lucas.

Come on lads, a positive performance isnt enough today, lets get some points on the board.

Hope can doesn't become assaidi. Never to start again after few appearances.

I know assaidi isn't good enough, all I am saying is that it seems to me that when br has made a mind about a player. He never give them chance again.

Really hope can doesn't go the same road. Anyway good lineup apart from that. Let's bash them and get three points. Burnley are pretty good at home.
