Henderson had his best game of the season alongside Lucas against Swansea and then is thrown back onto right-wing-back duty - shocking.

Yep agree with that.  Lucas and Henderson both a bit different complemented each other well against Swansea. Don't understand logic of unbalancing the team again.

Given up on him ever being able to coach a team to defend and it looks like the owners have given up on giving him any more money to spend.

Did not follow the game, lucky to even earn a point by the sound of things. Back to the drawing board for Brendan it seems, throwing away a 2 goal lead from fortunate penalties just not good enough.

Utterly embarrassing throwing a 2 goal lead to the bottom team.

This one is fully down to Rodgers.

Wrong team selection, dreadful performance, typical capitulation, standard outcome.
BR got it completely wrong today from start to finish.

We didn't "throw it away" as such mate. Or not in the usual meaning of it. Leicester F***ing twatted us for 90 good minutes and deserved the win. Obviously two up and ending two all is "throwing it away" and probably that's the way you're describing it.

But it weren't "thrown away" in the sense of the Arsenal game where it was two errors of judgement. Leicester more than deserved a point. We were lucky to keep it to two.

Feared this as soon as I saw the starting line up.
Just didn't realise how lucky we were gonna be in hanging on for a point!
Brendan fu**ed up again in my opinion.
His match review is starting to sound like Woy saying how good Leicester are ffs.

      Still seething

Mig - Not asked to do much and can't judge the goals due to the poor stream I had

Toure - same, as in I didn't see anything glaringly wrong
Sakho - he's insane and it shows with his ludicrous approach to defending; scares me
Can - poor game, not even a shadow of the man vs Swansea - I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that Manquillo is a much better defensive wing-back than Hendo.

Hendo - If I was him I'd be screaming in the Gaffer's face after he was stuck out wide again after playing his best game of the season. Wasted.
Moreno - poor, no composure defending or going forward; looks shell shocked and seems to go to pieces when we're under the cosh.

Gerrard - 2 pens and still useless, utterly, and totally
Lucas - too slow, opposite players just don't seem bothered playing with him around them

Lallana - tried, not a great performance but also not a bad one
Couts - best player on the pitch, really tried breaking them down
Sterling - I am running out of patience with this guy as a striker. His shooting is woeful, and he consistently makes the wrong decisions. Passing when he should take a player on, taking a player on when he should pass, shooting when he should pass and so on. He also seems to get muscled off the ball way too easy for my liking.

Markovic - not enough time to judge but he really has to hit the target with that header toward the end.

Gaffer - messed it up big time today. Playing Gerrard meant Hendo doing his invisible man out wide, and Manquillo back on the bench scratching his head. Gerrard is past it, he's gone, he's a shadow of his former self. Everyone can see this, why can't he? Even if Gerrard proves me wrong and is not past it, right now he's a liability and needs dropping. He's not doing for LFC what Lampard did and is doing for Chelsea/City. That's nobody's fault, that's just age and how different athletes get affected by it. At best he should be coming on with 20 minutes to do 'if' it's not working out.

And how many games do Gerrard AND Lucas have to play together before the Gaffer realises that the pair are too slow? They can't get to the tackles, they can't even close down, and players are running around them and at our defensive '3'. Can for Lucas every time.

If he ever plays Borini again I'll have a seizure. Ojo watches that from the bench and thinks 'I'm better than that'. Definite.

The system worked great against a Swansea side who are much better than bottom of the table Leicester City. It was changed to accommodate a 34 year old player and as a result we were extremely lucky to get 1 point.

My problem with the setup was, Why move Hendo out wide?  At home against the bottom of the table Leicester did we really need Lucas in the starting XI?

Why not keep Manquillo in at RB and leave Hendo in the center of the park after his best performance in quite some time.  Henderson and Gerrard along with Moreno and Manquillo should have been fine.

My other problem was with bringing on Lambert so late on.  Why not bring him on a helluva lot earlier and bring Borini on as a last ditch sub instead of vice versa.

      Hindsight is 20/20 and all.

Will be interesting to see MOTD.

Apparently Morgan was smacked in the face with the ball and didn't handle it for the pen to us.

      No "apparently".

From what I saw, wasn't a penalty, no hand contact whatsoever.

I just feel we're too gung-ho. 2-0 up you don't need your wide players sitting on the chalk up near their box. With Gerrard AND Lucas in the side you need to be more compact but we are/were the total opposite. It was kamikaze particularly given that they have a bit about them going forward. Brendan should have managed the game better. Also, we were far too direct in our passing today, always trying to play forward and losing possession. It hasn't been a bad Christmas period but with the likes of Arsenal, mancs and maybe Spudz dropping points you have to feel that this was one we had to win.

It's 6th place for me this season, I really can't see us bettering that.
