you've just cut and pasted a massive list of players that you reckon may be 2nd to king kenny. you've clearly not thought about the question or quite simply you have no clue about football as you have nigel clough, milan baros, vladi, roy evans..yes these were good servants but no way would anyone ever consider them as the 2nd best lfc player ever!!!

There are so many but personally i would go for Gerrard but lets hear your opinions.

Its gotta be King Kenny ! But a player who i feel doesnt get enough recognition as a legend is Phil Neal. 4 european cup medals and he scored in two finals ?? Unreal !! Plus Im going to be meeting him in a few weeks !! Cant wait !

Gerrard is a true Anfield Legend, but King Kenny did one thing Gerrard will never do, manage and play at the same time.

You just have to watch 100 players who shook the Kop to find out.

Kenny was first yes, and Gerrard was second.

Haven't been around long enough to decide.

But many legends for me are Stevie, Carra, Ian Rush and of course King Kenny

This question is a bit unfair as there have been so many greats in each decade of football,my DAD used to go on about Elisha Scott and Gordon Hodgson -he scored232 goals in 359 appearances for the REDS.Now to my time,Billy Liddell must surely rank up at the top then there was ROGER HUNT, IAN RUSH,RAY KENNEDY and KENNY DALGLISH,And i will throw EMLYN HUGHES in as well.As of today STEVIE GERRARD is world class and TORRES is worthy  of  being up there with the best,As I said this question is so unfair as there are many more players who could be on the list.In Tommy Lawrence and RAY Clemence we had 2 of the safest goalkeepers in the old 1st division.

I have been watching this topic grow, there have been so many Liverpool greats, but there is only one man who stands out as the Best Liverpool player Ever;

Ian St. John, Roger Hunt, Kenny Dalglish, John Barnes, Tommy Smith, Graeme Souness, Ian Rush, Michael Owen,

Even Steven G. are all great players, and could win Liverpools best player, but they don't.

There is only one Mr. Liverpool, he did not score many goals, but the amount he laid on for people must be in the many 100,s. He played his 1st game for Liverpool in 1961 and did not leave the club till 1978.

Ian Callaghan is the best Liverpool player ever;

In the autumn of 1978, Callaghan finally left Liverpool after 856 first team appearances, He then joined his former Anfield team-mate John Toshack's renaissance at Swansea City, helping them to two consecutive promotions.

A further record is that he was only once booked (cautioned) in his entire career, and that was very late in career. I was at that game when he got booked, and he cryed when he pick up his 1st booking, he always said he would have liked to finish he career having never been booked.
