      Mignolet looked much better today.

Lucas is starting to show signs he can get back to being the player he once was.

Coutinho his brilliant self but he doesn't half take a beating from the opposition does he.  Half the time he is picking himself up after getting knocked over.

Skrtel did really well today too.

Good win, but Utd and Spurs won, ffs :(

Can't gain on everyone every week! At least we haven't lost ground plus Southampton and Arsenal could still drop points this weekend.

      Mignolet looked much better today.

He did look much better, but again, dodgy moments. Nearly cost us a goal and after that mistake, he was rooted to the line for a couple of crosses that he could've got to which invited pressure.

Good win at a tough place to go.

      Henderson motm.
A great performance from the midfield pairing.

Grinding out wins is every bit as important as thrashing teams, perhaps even more so.

Big shout out for Mignolet today. Thought he was fantastic. Came out for the crosses and collected, or punched it away. Fantastic block/save from Benteke, and the follow up again to punch it clear. Perfect clean sheet!! Hope that gives him the confidence he needs.

Thought Coutinho was sh*t today lots of fancy turns into Villa players, weak in possession, poor decision making and passing.

      Emm...

He flapped the ball numerous times... However you are right he did show a lot of good too. Wouldn't call it the perfect clean sheet, but hey it doesn't matter how you do it, as long as you get it.

3 points in the bag away from home again. Can't complain at that.

Thought we did alright first half, 2nd half we went to sh*te a bit early on and really needed that goal.

Momentum certainly turning our way now though. Just a damn shame Spurs got that late winner. Need Newcastle to do us a favour shortly.

      Well in lads.

Just trying to find a silver lining.  We all know he's no Neuer but surely he was better today than his normal self.  That's got to count for something.

Borini and Lambert scored eh , who'd of thunk it .Anyway we were sublime first half and should have had a bag full and no disrespects to Villa but they couldn't handle us .There was great awareness among our lads with nice neat and fast passing .If Rodgers can keep that kind of performance going we could be in for a very exciting run in .

Going to have to see MotD to decide the MotM. Everyone seemed atleast 6.5+ out of ten, with most players being 7.5

Looking forward to seeing that, and the highlights, tonight - didn't see any of it today.

Another clean sheet too, fail play to BR and the lads. 2 goals, 3 pts.

      Keeps the run going ...

And Raheem and Coutinho's finishing. Could have scored more goals in this and the previous game.

He was much more confident today and that can only be a good thing for him . Maybe it's the presence of Can in the defence that has settled him some .

      Sakho makes me f**king nervous.

I know the stats say he completes most of his passes but half of them are at the last possible second and put the player receiving the ball under a huge amount of pressure etc.

Can, Markovic, Lucas, Henderson, Skrtel and Sakho played brilliantly. Borini played decent (got a brilliant goal). Moreno and Sterling could have done better. Mignolet shot stopping is brilliant too. Well done to Lambert (our boy :P ) MOMT Our leader
