Sorry, but if you seriously think, that Studge is going to come back and straight away hit the ground running, then you are deluded. He's been out for 5 months, not had any game time, it is unrealistic to expect him to perform as he was. He will need time and games to get back to where he was. Let's not put too much expectation on him, we need to be realistic as do our owners!

This doesn't mean he won't be better than what we have for alternatives!

      agreed.

A nearly fit Sturridge is still the best striker at the club

Agreed, but that's not saying much as the others are hardly what you'd describe as top strikers!

I thought we played pretty good, looked solid at the back and created plenty of chances. Yet again our lack of a goal scorer was cruelly exposed, we'll win the replay easily though, especially if we have Sturridge back by then. Oh and Raheem needs a bit of a reality check and kick up the arse, he's starting to believe his own hype a bit to much, he's very good but not great yet.

For some reason they've decided to change it, this morning it said the 3rd and the United game was the 4th. Looks like I'm going to miss most of it then cause of 6-a-side :-\

Hopefully we can win this in the return leg. With City and Chelsea both out, we have a really good shout of winning this competition!!

We're going to win the treble!! (League Cup, FA Cup, and Europa League)

Got to give it to Bolton, they defended for their lives and didn't offer that much.
I thought we played well, dominated the game, just missed the final ball or that super clear cut chance. We definitely lack a natural finisher, but we should have plenty in the bag to finalize the job in the replay.

Supporters of these lower league sides must do their nut as desire obviously pays such a big part of football.

Bolton show that desire at Anfield and go away with a 0-0 yet turn up tonight and ship 4 at Rotherham

Us and utd/Chelsea etc Saturday must have lacked that bit of desire because all things equal on ability only one side wins those games, if the bigger sides match their desire only one side wins. Yet the bigger sides desire lacks and they get something then Bolton go in against Rotherham without the same levels and ship four

Us Saturday and them tonight have to look at themselves in the mirror
