700 games for Stevie

The next time Stevie dons the Liverpool shirt will be his 700th for this great club.

He will become only the third man in our illustrious history to reach that landmark after Cally and Carra.

The man has achieved almost everything in a Liverpool shirt and even though we know he'll be leaving in the summer, it's still a fantastic achievement for him and one that deserves celebrating. I think I'd like it to be against Everton rather than Bolton.

For most of those 700 he gave more than most give when crossing the whitewash, how many times did he drag us over the line, how many times did he single handedly it seemed get us out of the sh*t, how many times did he come up with the winner in particularly vital matches , ie, finals , semi-finals, qualifiers etc,

Yet to think that some folk on these boards actually slate the bloke and have been very critical of his efforts, I guess some just don't recognise world class when it's there right in front if them,


Even now in the twilight of his career I'd still rate him as one of the best players in the EPL , albeit much slower,

The man is quite simply a living breathing Legend,
We have little more than 3 months left to enjoy watching this unique phenomenon ,

For those lucky enough to see Steven Gerrard play live whether it be at Anfield or elsewhere , consider it a absolute privilege and savour every second because there will never ever be another like him.

Incredible achievement. Especially given his position/style of play through the years, high energy, a leader, helping win countless big games scoring unbelievable goals. Had his share of injuries, makes 700 all the more impressive. A once in a generation player.

Tremendous achievement! It's going to be strange next season without both him and Carra there. Thankfully though he isn't leaving after featuring in every game like he used to, I think the boss is doing the right thing in managing his game load.

Been a fckin privilege to have seen this footballer play   at his peak unplayable , even now in the twilight of his career I get grest joy at seeing him on the field  just hope the final is set in stone and he gets the last hurrah at wembley would be a fitting end to a wonderfull career .

I love the Man to bits but I have to say, I thought he had a stinker of a Match. Hope that if he starts the Bitters game, we get to see him in full flight.
