Reports that Citeh want to complete the 50m signing in time to take Sterling on tour to Australia.

The club the little sh*t deserves.

Yip, The FFP rules have been relaxed, City can now offer more for sterling.

      Probably teh £45mill + £5 addons.

Now the greedy bugger in me is thinking that we should have asked for £60m.

stuey, we had better make sure that nothing can go wrong till we have got the 50 mill in the bank. It is clear that Sterling does not want to be at L.F.C. so there is no alternative but to get rid of him.

Rip their F***ing hands off Billy mate, if that deal goes through we should wrap Raheem in blue ribbon with loads of pretty kisses - ta very much give us the dosh and F**k off!!

Think it's all hype meself and the lad is not worth what they think he is.
Our lack of attacking options gave Sterling the opportunity to press forward on occasion, although largely ineffective in that roll he did give some eye-catching glimpses of his potential; no good to us of course with the lad being a bag of sh*te all season and totally forgettable.

It is true that QPR have a 20 % clause for his transfer ?

There are reports that we agreed to a 48 mill £ sale of Sterling to City.

I thought it was 10%, but could be wrong.

City are being bent over because of the whole homegrown player rule. Fact is there aren't many players around which are good enough (or in Sterling's case could be good enough) for a Champions League team which fit the homegrown player description. Bloody Fabian Delph has been linked with them for Fowler's sake. City NEED him. Had they kept Milner the price wouldn't be as high.

That's why I think we should have pushed it to £60m with add ons. City would have eventually forked the money over. QPR get their 20% (can't believe we agreed to such a high percentage) we get £48m now with the addons taking it to over £50m over time and Sterling fucks off. Everyone wins.

I'm still very much in the "keep Sterling" camp. The lad's a real talent.

Not to mention our hair game drops significantly without this in the team:

To be honest I don't know what to think after his and his agent declarations
He started training at melwood yesterday, and I read if a deal is not done , he will be travelling with the squad for the tour on sunday if I am right
I am pretty confident he will leave
      BUT
As someone posted before I would tell Raheem/his kn*b agent that if a deal/agreement is not done by Saturday, he is not going anywhere, he stays, either he signs a new deal that the club offered or stay on his 35k per wk  for at least another season
cannot include him in the pre-season friendlies if we don't know if he is staying or not

Me too to be honest, he might have the potential to be a very good footballer, but he's also shown the potential to be a class A c**t to get his own way, easier losing him right now for £50m than somewhere down the line if he does reach his potential.

While there would be some wringing of hands and anxiety at the departure of a player in the Suarez mould for instance, there is a sense of disinterested resignation at the impending exit of Sterling.
To some the £50m fee is a godsend.

Like any of you, I also want Sterling gone because of the way he and his agent have conducted themselves

But, and it's a big but, if he was able to commit to the club, sign a new contract and eat some humble pie then I certainly feel our prospects for next season would be a lot more positive.

There was a time I remember when we'd never ever sell to our main rivals. Not unless we were offloading those past their sell by date. A 20 year old not wanting to pull on the red Liverpool FC shirt?

Times change I guess, for everyone.

Not sure the point of this post by the way

Andy Hunter saying that Sterling has told club he doesn't want to be included in the preseason tour.

Book his flight and room then ;)
