Rosenborg BK, Champions League 2007 (/2008?!)
      Oct 27, 2007 04:27:23 pm
As you may know already, im the trønder-girl from Trondheim, Norway :)
My hometeam are Rosenborg Ballklub, who now are in the Champions League group stage for the 11th time in 13 seasons!
Just wanna share this with you: ;)

      27. sept -95:
Rosenborg - Blackburn 2-1  (same year Blackburn won the league)

      4. dec -96:
AC Milan - Rosenborg 1-2  (at San Siro! They finish second in group D under Porto, reach quarterfinal; 1-1 at Lerkendal against Juventus, lose 2-0 in Torino.)

      1. oct -97
      Rosenborg - Olympiakos 5-1

      22. oct -97
      Rosenborg - Porto 2-0

      27. nov -97
      Rosenborg - Real Madrid 2-0

      21. oct -98
      RBK - Galatasaray 3-0

      19. oct -99
      RBK - Borussia Dortmund 3-0

In 1998 Rosenborg draw again against Juventus at Lerkendal (1-1)
The same result at Lerkendal against Bayern München in 2000 and Arsenal in 2004 (same year Arsenal won the Premier League without losing)

      - - - -

      18. sept -07
      Chelsea - Rosenborg 1-1

      24. oct -07
      Rosenborg - Valencia 2-0

      Group B    Pld Pts
      CHL           3   7
      RBK          3   4
      VAL           3   3
      SCH          3   3

Are we still one of top two when group stage is over? Is this dupe to think? We've done it before, can we do it again? After a crap season in the norwegian league and six years without winning on home ground in the group phase before this week, can the guys still play out the best in the team, as they did against Valencia, and prove that Rosenborg are and always will be Norways (and Scandinavias) best team!?
Joining the best of the bests in the knockout rounds again would be awesome! Theres no pressure or real expectation in achievement, just naive hope around the extra bonus this stage in the Champions League will be.

Personal Id love it! It would mean more great teams from Europe to visit Lerkendal, and norwegian football would get a real boost. But third spot after group stage would mean Uefa cup, and I think Rosenborg can accomplish more there...
Still... Knocking out lets say... the scum!! at Lerkendal.... ah... my wet dream! hehe ;D

So what do you guys think??
I assume you all follow Rosenborg in the Champions League veeery closely ;)

(Maybe youll say some of these numbers above belong in the "Are these results for real?!?"-thread, hehehe...)

Naturally we all wish Rosenberg the best of luck, especially in your home tie against Chelsea!

If you can hurt Schalke then it will probably go down to the Valencia - Rosenborg clash.  You're in a much better position than the reds.

I'll be keeping my eye on them!

Thanks AussieRed. I had my tonsils removed 5 weeks ago, but its been alot of complications after. I got dehydrated cause i wasnt able to swallow the first week, so I had to stay at the hospital for some days and get sugerwater intravenous... Im actual very afraid of doctors and hospitals and needles, but now Im kind of used to it :P (yes Im a bit proud!) I got some better after staying at the hospital, but its not until the last two weeks thats Ive been able to drink properly. And I can eat noodles. And tomatoesoup.. That I can swallow whole :P I was really hungry the first weeks, but now I get sick only thinking of food.
Normally, after removing the tonsils, you are back on track after two weeks. But with me.... with my lucky odds... My tonsils are growing back.....!! This is why Im still in pain and cant eat. They say this is very unusual to happen, my doctor had never seen it before.. Lots of doctors involved now, and they kind of dont know what to do... Ive been taking alot of medicine lately, so for starters they want to give me a break from that and try to build up my  strength and health. Im on this huge vitamincure now, zinc, vitamin B, bla bla bla... Im so tired and fed up with this. And for really rubbing it in, regarding my odds and all, my boyfriend dumped me this weekend. All this is why I havent been very active on the forum lately. Im sick and not very happy at all :P *sob* heh... Doesnt help that Liverpools play are crap either and if something doesnt happen, Crouchie will leave in january.
My hopes are now for Rosenborg, my local team, to cheer me up this fall/winter...

I hope tonight's victory for both the reds and Rosenborg cheered you up.

If we play them in the next round you will have to do a big shopping trip when we all come over to stay!

Wont be able to sleep for hours yet..! Still my pulse is HIGH... :P

Only ONE more point now, and RBK can be on to the knock outs...!!! Three points home against the Chavs or at the Veltins-Arena would def be enough.
Or if not... If Valencia cant manage 6 points in the last two, at least Uefa Cup is secured for Rosenborg.
      Weeeeeee!!!
