Yep... No blame on Hendo... He was pissed off at Daniel and Mario putting their egos ahead of the job at hand.

Sturridge can thank god and be as humble in interviews as he likes but he still has some growing up to do. His attitude all night was below standard.

After the replay I'm not sure who was arguing about what!? Was Hendo angry because Balo was taking it or was Sturridge angry?

I think Henderson wanted it, then Balotelli approached him to take it so let him and then Sturridge came over wanting to take it.

A bit of silliness regarding the pen, at the end of the day Mario has more experience than our Danny I think that's why Hendo gave the ball to Balo

Thought Cou/Ibe/Studge had ropey enough games. Ibe and Studge poor final balls, Cou bit wasteful. Even Can wasn't his recent self.
Mario made a difference when he came on, and took the peno well, generally did decent. Thought he'd done enough to start the game tbh. Important goal.
Not the greatest performance, but got the result, clean sheet and a goal to go away with. We get one over there, and we are in with a great shout ....

I'm sure we've made more of an issue of it than they will. Things happen in the heat of the moment...I'm sure it will be hashed out and forgotten already.

It wouldn't do us any harm to get a 1-0 win playing poorly, that's what good teams are meant to do isn't it?

We won without playing anywhere near our best. That's what top teams do. They get the job done and we done it tonight. It's worth keeping in mind Mignolet had next to nothing to do either side of that save from Ba. We were far from terrible. A clean sheet and a win, we all would have taken it before the match!

Plenty of positives too. Ibe obviously, Henderson really looked to lead by example, Mignolet continued his form, Lovren had another solid (yet brief) appearance and of course Balotelli's renaissance yields another goal.

If that's true then he needs to sort himself out. Balo is one of the best penalty takers in the world. I like Jordan's confidence, but he's nowhere near that standard.
