Anyone else like to see a front three of Sturridge, Balotelli with Sterling in behind?

I think Phil needs a wee break so this is how I'd go but I doubt the boss will.

Very difficult ground to go to for a must win game against a very well organised and dangerous outfit, their league position should indicate that they are not just making up the numbers,
Koeman has Saints playing a very attractive style and history has shown this season that they can be a match for anyone, however,
This is the key point in a season where your intentions have to galvanise and for your players to push on,

For me Saints are already at the peak of their capabilities and will find it very difficult to find that extra gear, we on the other hand have yet to reach our zenith after a slow start but from now I feel we will get better and better,
Despite missing one or two through injury I still feel we will prove too much for them, had we met a couple of months ago admittedly I'd be worried, but we are on a roll and although we have been far from convincing we still pull out favourable results, that is the mark of a progressing side,

This is our pivotal time now where our schedule could dictate which side BR opts for, but the league matches should take priority over anything else so I'm expecting the strongest possible X1 today,

I don't think he will change much from Thursday if at all so I'd be happy if he starts thus...
                                        Mignolet
                               Can    Skirtle    Sakho
                             Ibe   Hendo  Allen  Moreno
                                    Lallana Coutinho
                                         Sturridge

                  Bench; Ward, Lovren, Manquillo, Sterling,Ballotelli,Lambert,Toure

This will be as tight as a newts ring piece, I seriously doubt we will keep a clean sheet so we need to score at least two, I fancy Studge to bag at least one, and I'd love to see super Mario to bag also,

      1-2 Might Reds

Yep I'd like id like to see that front line Si but I doubt we will, after Mario's antics on Thursday I think he will still be used off the bench which is no bad thing if I'm honest, but it's certainly food for thought and like you said it allows a wee rest for Cou.

If we want top for we have to beat the teams around us, so 3 points today is a must. Especially with the mancs and spuds both losing points

We need to take this opportunity and seize it. We'll be within touching distance of even 3rd spot with a win here today.

Why's it such a late kickoff for a sunday?

It's only 15 minutes later than the usual late game on a Sunday.

No idea how this one will pan out, but a win would be bloody fantastic.

I hope the Southampton boys don't have any jitters and remember who they are  playing for today.

Draw was better than i expected for West Ham. They bottled but i'll take the draw there.

More results going our way this weekend. Not a "must win" but a very important three points on offer.

Team could go either way. Could see Balo and Sturridge up top with Sterling in behind (doubt it), could see Can in midfield and Lovren or Kolo at the back, either of Sterling, Lallana and Coutinho could start or not. Interesting to see how it ends up.

Almost missed a penalty.Bit strange that Sturridge is far better than him but people bigging him up like some sort of  extra ordinary player.

3 points is a must, proper nervous about this, Southampton win and they go 3rd, 7 points ahead of us and Arsenal drop to 4th, 6 points ahead of us, we can't let that happen.

I hope we dont leave them much space to operate in front of our goall. We need to be patient and take our chances.
I would rest Coutinho first half and would start Ibe, Sturridge and Sterling.
Allen, Henderson, Moreno and Markovic in the middle and same winning three at the back.

Bring in Coutinho and Balloteli in second hallf and take out Allen and Markovich. Switch Ibe on Lazars place.
