Did Kuyt get on the pitch?

Thought he was 'choked' to be playing at Anfield with former team mates or something, but I don't recall seeing him play in the match.

Just WOW!!! What an absolutely amazing day,i am so glad i could share it with my little lad, my wife and of course the kop.
Seeing all those players together on the same pitch and the reception for ALL of the players was different class, major goosebumps when the Suarez, Torres, Garcia and Alonso songs took off amongst others.

So proud to have joined the Kop on this special day and this day will live with me and my lad for the rest of our lives.

Oh an had 5 hours of my lad singing Fields of anfield road on the trip home ;D

      Thanks IO, WAHS

Gutted the blonde bombshell didn't get on the pitch.

If anyone deserved a run out it would have been Dirk

Never ever seen anyone work so hard from start to finish. Even Hendo gets his lapses, but never Kuyt. He might not have been first choice in Shanks' side, but if ever Shanks needed someone to run through a brick wall for him, Kuyt's his man

As an aside, just the few glimpses of Torres and Suarez playing together tells me they'd have been absolutely dynamite. Tragedy it never saw the light of day

Meirles? The last thing I remember about him was when we scored at Arsenal and he was livid for some reason. Surprised he was there...

All went the Hilton after it. There were supporters waiting outside the hotel to see them when the match was still on apparently.

Boy is/was Henry one hell of a player. Don't think I've ever loved a non-Liverpool player as much as him.

Happy for Torres as well, was quite clear that yesterday meant a lot to him.

The reception for Alonso when he came off was incredible as well!

Fantastic blog and pics from JAR about the game and what coming back meant to him.

Don't read it in public though as it will bring you to tears  :'(

Absolutely. Not only was he one of the best strikers around, he was a class act off the pitch as well. Only wish he'd actually come and played for us instead of just talking about it.

Fair play to Liverpool for managing to put this together. Phenomenal to see some of those names on the same teamsheet, friendly or not. Also just realised that it is almost certainly the last time I'll see Thierry Henry will play an actual match in front of a crowd. His dummy when through on Reina was the type of thing you need to watch in slow motion.

Feels like it was a great occasion for all involved. It was amazing seeing some of my favorite players from the past back and even more so their reactions after the game - Suarez saying he would only come back to England for LFC, Torres thanking the fans for giving him "peace of mind", Riise writing a very emotional blog post about the experience, and so on. Very positive stuff from all involved! :)

I feel a kind of peace within by getting to say farewell to ex players who left under a cloud, emotional day but one that was needed to be honest.

Not trying to sour anything, but of course he said, now, that he would only play for Liverpool. He´s already left for the club he really wanted to be in,and plans to stay there for as long as possible. You all seem to forget he wanted to leave for Arsenal the year before he left us for Barcelona. So when maybe he comes back, aged 32 and with his best years past him,you will all aplaud him for giving you his crumbs. We were just a stepping stone for him.Wouldn´t want him back anyway after he shamed us in Brazil. But,results over everything else right? The honor in this game leaves with Steven Gerrard.
