      YES PENRITH! F***ing YES!

What a f**king win that was. The sheer f**king joy of giving it to the Eels supporting cu*ts in their own ground is a feeling that cannot be matched.

And Matthew Moylan that no look pass for Mansour's try was f**king beautiful. Moylan > Hiku > Mansour is a jizztastic prospect! Now we have to get Mansour's agent on the phone and get his contract sorted as it's up at the end of the season.

Just finished watching the game. What a f**king awesome win that was! Panthers must be one of the best teams to watch for a neutral, in terms of late game winners at least, both for and against haha

I guess the match vs the Eels is like a local derby or something? Don't know how good the Eels are supposed to be but it was a solid performance. It's the first time I've watched Moylan and he's obviously quite good, a considerable improvement on Smith. And Mansour impresses me more each game I watch. He's so good both in attack and defense; very strong but still quick. I guess he must be one of the wingers in the NRL?I thought Peter Wallace had one of his best performances this season as well.

Btw in that Eels second try, not only did I think it was a stolen ball, but I also think there was a forward pass there which the video referee did not even consider.

Yeah Parramatta is a 20 minute trip down the highway from Penrith. Big rivalry and it starts from the junior leagues because we have the biggest junior rugby league program in Australia and probably the world. They are kind of the little brother and the representative teams from a young age don't like each other at all.

Michael Jennings who ran out for them was a Panthers junior who came through the club and made it to the top. At the time he said of Parra that he hated their club and all they represent and now he's playing for them so we hate him even more than we did when he left for the Roosters.

Video refs aren't allowed to rule on forward passes which is completely stupid because they can rule on offside and knock ons with the same video footage. But that's the NRL for you. I thought it was a knock on by the Parra player as he went to knock the ball down from his hands, too. And the pass did look forward.

Mansour is definitely one of the best wingers in the game. Played for Australia two seasons ago and in a massive shout for NSW Origin this year (about a month away). Moylan will take a couple more weeks to be at his best but so much better than Smith already and it was his first game in 310 days i think i read somewhere.

Wally played very well but he needs to stop playing like a halfback at hooker. Trying to organise and run the show from there and it's taking away from Te'Maire Martin getting involved who once again saw no ball when we were in attack. And for the millionth time this season he is not concentrating on the ruck and Merrin made a brilliant offload in the second half coming out of our own half and Parra intercept because Wallace is looking away.

Now we play the defending champs in our own backyard on Saturday night! Kind of scared but hoping we get some confidence from that win and put in a good performance.

Yes that's true, it's not the first time Wallace has lacked awareness from a play-the-ball or offload while playing at hooker, maybe because as you say he's usually a half so he's maybe trying too hard to analyse the game, but at 9 doesn't get as much time to do it.

The game vs the Cowboys should be exciting. I wonder what you think of Jonathan Thurston? He seems to be a very likable fella on top of being a fantastic player.

What a game that was. Too bad it's ended as another heartbreaking close defeat. FFS with a little bit more luck Penrith could have won all games this season.

Another heartbreaker. The class of the Cowboys stood up and won them the game but we were the better side for 60 minutes at least.

Just F***ing annoying they drop the ball in the ruck and the ref gives them a penalty for some reason. They then score and win off it.

3 of their 4 tries came off penalties. We have done that for every side this season, just keep giving relieving penalties to get up field and keep the pressure on and they score.

But we look very good. A bit more work and discipline and we could do something this season. Merrin is looking better each week, Cartwright keeps posting numbers, Moylan getting fitness and Josh Mansour is the best winger in the game going by form this season. Another massive game.

      Plenty of positivity ahead.

      Oh yes, definitely better.
Don't get me wrong I enjoy watching the Super League, but the quality of play is definitely higher in the NRL.
I only watched a little of NRL last year but in 2016 I've missed only one of the Panthers game and also watched the odd Cowboys matches (they're the current champions).
By the way the 2015 NRL Grand Final was quite possibly the best sporting contest I watched that year - Cowboys vs Broncos. Insanely good game with a dramatic ending.

I was sitting in the Broncos end (Panthers under 20s played in an earlier Grand Final and that was my seat) and the silence when Cowboys scored at the death was deafening. Haven't seen a crowd that big go that quiet so quickly :D Was hilarious.

By the way, Mansour has averaged more metres than anyone else in the competition so far with 178 metres per game. For a bloody winger. Outstanding.

Solid enough win on Monday. It was cold and wet and there was only about 500 Panthers fans there but anytime you beat the Roosters it's a great time :D Should've won by more though, we let them back in the contest so many times. Thankfully Soward closed this one out with a brilliant kicking game in the final ten minutes.

Toughie this weekend against Cronulla. It'd be a pleasant surprise if we got the win there.

It's like having two fullbacks who are great in return runs. I'm no specialist in RL tactics but not many teams seem to have two players like Moylan and Mansour who are so good on the high ball and make lots of metres under pressure. He's strong as a bull as well as a good finisher... he's really impressed me.

The power in his legs is immense. I'm just annoyed he'll most likely play Origin and we miss him for three weeks.

Our whole backline are doing work which is great to see. DWZ and Hiku have also contributed coming out of our half.

Haha I feel your pain mate. I have already watched more sport this year than some people do in a lifetime, it seems. Last year I added Aussie rules and Rugby League to my frequent watch-list, and in 2016 I followed the NBA regular season closely in a way I hadn't done in a few years. I also watched a game of cricket for the first time in my life and saw all West Indies games in the World T20 series (my adopted team, and they won it all!)

Well, in terms of teams to watch: the Panthers are a very good choice. Not just because they're my adopted side (blame John) but also because all of their matches have been really exciting so far this year. They're the kings of close, late finish games... for better and for worse!

I also enjoy watching the NRL Grand Finalists from 2015: the Cowboys and the Broncos. Johnathan Thurston and Anthony Milford are two of the most spectacular players of rugby league around. Thurston is very experienced, but to think Milford is still only 21!!

I still don't know much about many of the teams in the league yet but I'm getting there!

And hey, what's up with Joshs being so good in making meters? 3 of them in the Top 5 All Run Metres! :D

5 very good players on that list. I saw Munster playing as a fullback last year in the finals and he was immense.
Josh Dugan was absolutely incredible for the Dragons against the Panthers.
      Josh Mansour is a beast.

It's ridiculous how much I watch these days: Football (Premier League, A-League & MLS), NFL, NBA (just started watching it properly after a few years as a casual watcher), Baseball, Super League, IPL T20 & recently started watching AFL properly. No doubt there's other stuff too :D

Anyways, back to Rugby League. I watched my first NRL game earlier, a replay between the Broncos and Rabbitohs. I completely forgot that Burgess had made his move back to the Rabbitohs. He's a lucky boy that he didn't get knocked out after that cheap shot to Joe Hefahendaourgauh (or whatever his surname is :D). The ref pussied out with that call. Said he gave him the benefit of the doubt on the first one earlier but not on this one yet lets him stay on the field.

Something tells me everybody will be trying to change their names to Josh haha.

Oh look, Penrith lost by 2.

Winning in the final 10 minutes again and let it slip. Soward lets Moylan kick at goal for the first time this year at 14-8 and he misses. Brain dead decision.

F***ing F**k. Can't wait for Wallace and (whisper it quietly) Soward to go.

And now we lose Te'maire Martin as well with a shoulder injury. Grrrrrrreat. At least Segeyaro and Whare should be back this week.

I haven't watched this one yet but not surprised in the slightest that it was a close score. Sadly once again against the Panthers. So frustrating!

Soward to me seems to be a good player capable of doing great things but one who lacks consistency

Finally watched this game in full and wow, what a game! Theo Fages is turning into a really special player. Still so young, could be a huge player for Saints for years to come. Rob Burrow was at this best for Leeds, and that young lad Jordan Lilley seems to be an extremely promising player.

Two sh*t sides going at it.

David Nofoluma was embarrassing in that mini-scrap at the end. Goes down holding his neck and then jumps up when Tom Burgess tells him he's a pussy (or words to that effect). What a dickhead. That should be suspension-worthy.

I'd say Tigers are home but they're so bad, it could be 20-all in ten minutes.
