      Sorry to you both.

Had to miss watching the game live as I was at my presentation had it recorded and will watch now.

Must admit after going 18-0 up then you guys scoring back to back I was starting to sh*t myself.

From what I saw the penalty that made it an 8 point game was soft.

I'm sorry but I need to hate your team for all eternity. This was the first time I saw the Panthers in the finals. Heartbreaking.

      There's always next year.

Scored your second off a bullshit strip call, too.

I thought we had it when we were coming back. Those two high tackle penalties were rubbish and the Merrin offload on the try line at 18-12 was the end of it, though.

No chance, Billy. Nathan would still be on the 20s.

Griffin has done a superb job this season. Deserves praise.

Always wondered how if all Phil Gould is involved in the onfield stuff?

Phil Gould was pulling all the strings at one time but I don't know if that is still the case.John would have some idea of his involvement these days. as he is a big Panther fan.

Gus is active in recruitment and roster management in association with Griffin and Jim Jones, but Griffin calls the shots on the field. Griffin told Elijah Taylor, Soward and Segeyaro they weren't wanted and Gould then negotiated their departures based on what Griffin wanted.

Griffin went to watch the 20s play and he picked out Dylan Edwards, Tyrone May and Nathan Cleary to train with the first team. Hence two of those coming through this season.

Griffin also has sacked the whole coaching staff minus a select few for next season as he doesn't feel some of the coaches are compatible. Even the trainers and medical team are gone.

Everything you see on the field is Griffin. Gus works on the roster and the business side. Same as when Ivan was there.

It's been quiet here lately! haha

      Sharks won the NRL.

And the Super League Grand Final is only a few hours away.

In my very first week in the UK, I went to Warrington to watch the Saints play the SL semifinal against the Wire. They lost, obviously.

I intended to go to the Grand Final irrespective of the teams on it, but seeing how much money I would spend to watch two teams I dislike - Wire v Wigan - I thought it was better to just stay home...

      Are you from Warrington mate?

I think I'll be going to the Grand Final anyway, but sure it would be nicer if my team were on it. Saints are more like dark horses this year, only entered the top four recently with the Dragons simply falling apart, but you never know...

Very late reply ;D but yeah I am haha. Can't be doing with Saints (sh*t Helens ;D ) even though i'm living there with my girlfriend from around those parts at the moment ;D.

Think that stems from you lot beating us so many times in a row by the odd point back from the early 2000s all the way to around 2014.

Awful start to the season for Wire, not great for Saints. Kieren Cunningham is out of his depth in that job, it's too big for him with the rebuilding you lot have to do.

As for Warrington we are the nearly men, our owner has spent the money but we fall short time and again in the finals.

We won't be troubling the top 4 this season by the look of things

That was some game of rugby league just there. Tonga from 20 nil down with 6 minites to go, almost (maybe should have) won it on the hooter.

Great game played in front of great Tongan support.

The Aussies have got a nerve by the way. Cant be arsed showing up all tournament and sell out the final. They've had a strange way to show support for their supposed national sport all tournament. Total apathy.

It's not our national sport. Aussie Rules is (sadly. sh*t game imo).

I couldn't give two shits about the Aussie side. I just want our Panthers boys back in one piece. More concerned about building up the Pacific Islands (Tonga, Samoa etc.) and Fiji to make them more competitive. Australia can't be beaten right now - it's just boring.

Think England can be pretty proud of that up against the odds. We were there or there abouts and gave ourselves a shot

Although the grand final is a great occasion,  not a fan of play offs, mind you as a widnes fan my opinion may change if by some miracle we ever get there again. Hope cas win tonight and then the final
