Instead of standing there bemoaning his luck, indeed he does. He's so painfully slow now it's harsh to watch people skip by him time and time again, commentator saying he's in danger of coming off, personally I think he should but he wont.

Gerrard will never reserve energy in that manner, if he's not doing a great deal then its obviously just a struggle to chase energetic and younger lads around the pitch.

Defence has gone back to making silly errors. Can way too far forward for the goal then he walked back, Benteke dropped off and no one picked him up which was criminal. Very lucky to get away with the one where they had a 2 on 1 on the counter as well.

Emre Can looks superb in their half - why do we not push him forward and try and win the game?

I didn't think we played well at all in the first half. The future captain made one or two timely interceptions (no doubt the goal will by end up being his fault by forum concensus but of course it wasn't), Colin Pascoe appears to have gone for the whole sweep back as opposed to the centre parting and Coutinho took his goal well. Other than that, I can't really think of any positives. If we continue to play like that it is a coin flip, if we play 20% better we win, simple as that.

I just want to know what happened to the death by football philosophy. Haven't seen anything like it all season.
