      I love Pirlo. What a legend he is. Pure class on and off the pitch. His autobiography is possibly the best I've read out of those written by football players. It would be awesome to have him even if only for a season. But then again I'm emotionally attached to the man - I'd just love to see it happen, I might not be thinking rationally here :D He's still got class though. Many people wrote him off during his final year at Milan (I questioned his future myself) but he's proven he still can play at a very high level at Juventus.

      One of those players who oozes class. Has so much time on the ball, no matter how frenetic the pace of the game. Cool customer. Put in a shift the other night too, running 10KM+.

      Will not happen but I love Pirlo and he has been a fantastic footballer over the years.

      Agree, he still has a lot to offer and is a player that has a few years left in him yet because of the style he plays. Would be head and shoulders above Allen IMO and would create a lot of chances.

      It would be nice, but it would be like dating Bridget Bardot, believing how beautiful she was, and not as she is now.

      A lot of wages for just a few years at most, you have to ask yourselves, why has he not got a contract extension at Juventus?

      If this is credible, the rent boys will go all out to have a bench warmer, and to sell shirts, would a Juve player come to us? Not sure, but a Milan player May, which hat is he wearing?

      A world class player no doubt but this doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

      Why would be in for Pirlo when we are letting Gerrard go? We would have been better off getting Alonso in the Summer if this is the route we are intending to go down.

      Harsh to say but he would be an upgrade on Gerrard judging by their forms over the last season and a half. And a definite upgrade on Allen.

      I still don't understand why we never went in for Alonso? Especially if there is any truth in this rumour.

      Liverpool have been given the green light to sign Andrea Pirlo after he reportedly decided to quit Juventus, according to the Metro.

      Pirlo has been weighing up his options for next season on the back of another brilliant campaign in Serie A.

      Liverpool have held talks with his agent over a deal, and now they’ve been cleared to do business with Pirlo apparently set to quit Juve.
