Chelsea 1-1 Liverpool: In game and Post match discussion

      Stamford Bridge

Starting XI: Mignolet, Johnson, Lovren, Skrtel, Can, Gerrard, Coutinho, Henderson, Lallana, Sterling, Lambert

Subs: Ward, Toure, Moreno, Lucas, Allen, Ibe, Sinclair

Brendan Rodgers has named an unchanged line-up for Liverpool's Barclays Premier League clash with Chelsea this afternoon, with Academy starlet Jerome Sinclair included amongst the substitutes.

The manager names an identical starting XI to the one that overcame Queens Park Rangers last weekend, with Steven Gerrard skippering the team for his final meeting with the Blues.

Rickie Lambert will once again lead the line for the Stamford Bridge clash against Jose Mourinho's outfit, who clinched the league title with victory over Crystal Palace in their last fixture.

Sinclair, meanwhile, has not featured in the first-team squad since making his debut as a substitute in the League Cup victory over West Bromwich Albion in September 2012.

Balotelli and Borini don't not even making the bench, if either of them remain with us after the summer I'll be astonished.

Can still starting as RB against Hazard, that's asking for serious, serious trouble.

Not confident even though they'll be in celebration mode I think that could even work against us. Another game against a top 4 opponent Brendan, chance to improve that record of yours.

I wonder what's up with Markovic, maybe he's not training hard enough? :o

Lallana and Johnson playing wing backs in another shitty 3-4-3 formation.

You can also add Gerrard and Henderson into that equation, both are not DM players and I think they'll have problems protecting the defensive players.

More likely to be he hasn't shown enough in training to warrant even a bench spot, I think his season is run, he'll go and recharge the batteries and ready himself for next season and hopefully prove himself.

      So today can either be

      A) - Give them a guard of honour, lose, moan like F**k at the TV and the miserable season, watch sterling miss a couple of sitters, season is then over, watch Chelsea celebrate, watch Sky go to MUFC to show them celebrating. Travel home for 4 hours thinking about how sh*te it has all been.

      or

      B) - Show up and man up and win the F***ing game and take it to the last 2 games.

It's slightly depressing that The only thing that even slightly excites me about that team is ibe and Sinclair on the bench. We've come So far from last season eh ;)

Um....Gerrard and Henderson vs their midfield. Emre vs Hazard. Johnson vs anyone.

I don't foresee very positive things but lets hope the boys it in a big effort. Bit of a nothing game so hopefully they go out with some freedom and no pressure and beat these plastic vagina-faces.

      Go on lads.

My thoughts exactly.  Sincerely hope that our fans at the game have either a) much better faith than I can currently muster or b) more ale inside them.

I'd take a draw right now.

Id rather lose actually going for a win. Long shot I know but a draw ends our season officially, and I'll always have that little bit of foolish hope of top four when it's still possible.

Why do Rogers keep playing Can at full back, baffles me but not being any sort of tactician I can't work Rogers out but I do know when a player isn't suited to a particular position and Can is no full back.

Sick of seeing Can at right back, he gets done every time against tricky players like Hazard. Lambert auditioning for his Chelsea transfer? :D

Think we will struggle to get anything out of this game to be honest with how sh*te our finishing is.

Agree with the Can thoughts, if Hazard is on it we've got problems.

Really struggling to get pumped for this one.

Nah that makes too much sense better to force a sh*t formation just to accommodate Gerrard.

All this talk on Sky Sports about young players getting a chance at Chelsea, I've not seen a young player who they haven't spent big money on, get a chance at Chelsea for a long, long time.
