Brendan Rodgers makes three changes to his Liverpool line-up to face Stoke City in Steven Gerrard's final game for the club on Sunday.

The No.8 captains the side at the Britannia Stadium, leading the Reds out in his 710th appearance of a glorious career.

He will take up an attacking role, with Joe Allen and Lucas Leiva introduced into midfield in two alterations from the team which lost to Crystal Palace last time out.

There's also a return for defender Mamadou Sakho, who partners Martin Skrtel at the back for the 3pm BST kick-off, Dejan Lovren dropping to the bench.

Liverpool XI: Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno, Lucas, Allen, Henderson, Gerrard, Lallana, Coutinho.

Substitutes: Ward, Toure, Lovren, Lambert, Sterling, Ibe, Markovic.

Odd line-up. No strikers and no real pace other than Moreno.

Well if we aren't up for this we will soon find out against a very physical Stoke.
Just want stevie to go out on a very big high score a couple of goals and make a few crunching tackles.

Ibe on the bench is a bit of a joke , he'd improve it straight away .

Not sure if it will be a back 3 with Hendo at RM or a back 4 with Can at RB, but it looks like Stevie will play ST with Coutinho and Lallana in support!!

Not sure, but does any else think this change in philosophy, ie not playing any strikers, has anything to do with the fact we CAN'T SCORE FOR TOFFEE?

What an odd line up, again, no balance in the team. And as mentioned, wtf is Sterling anywhere near the squad, he should just f**k off to London.

Brendan setting us up, not to lose is not what I want to see, no f***in striker again, has he not learnt anything,  I cannot understand how he can envisage us winning with a lineup like that,  Brendan for me has the mindset of someone whose job is on the line, hoping for a positive result rather than being positive the players he chooses delivers,

I'm fed up with this attitude of hoping rather than being positive of winning , these vibes filter down to the players, so is it any wonder then we've been sh*te the last few months ?
