Of the managers named as available right now, they are the only two I would personally want at this club. Do you have others you would prefer?

Unai Emery is one I'd be interested in.

Fair enough, I'm not too impressed with his CV to be honest. Not enough of an upgrade to justify the change in my opinion.

It would be great to have a manager that's finished higher in the league than Brendan if a switch were to be made.

Took Almeria to their highest finish on their history with 8th.

Finished 3rs three seasons in a row with Valencia adding a Europa last 8 on year 1, last 16 in year 2 and Europa semi in year 3.

Two 5th places with Sevilla in his two seasons there alongside a Europa double.

This along with working to players being sold left right and centre and both Valencia and Sevilla and I think that stacks up heavily in his favour alongside Brendan.

I really like Emery, think he'd do well with us. I think some of us discussed him already back in the summer of 2012 before appointing Brendan. I remember discussing him with Diego anyway, I think that was back then. But I'd actually be surprised now if he'd be available to us, he is well-situated at Sevilla.

But I still really see no reason to believe Brendan is going to be sacked. Kenny was sacked like only 3 days after the season ended, 3 days after our last game. Which makes sense, because if you're going to sack someone there's little reason to wait much longer. I just can't see it happening to Brendan right now.

      Klopp was rubbish anyways.

This is really sad. Now we want a Euorpa cup winner? This is our big hope?

When we HAD a 2 time La Liga, Uefa Cup, Champions League and FA Cup winner. Most fans were ok with him leaving.

There should have been boycotts around anfield pleading him to stay.

Now the ideal candidate is going to manage Real Madrid. ;D

This 'sack everyone' mentality is why we got here in the first place. He should have been granted the time to fix his mistakes. Just like Brendan should after coming so close last season.

Some of our fans need to take a long look at themselves.

Looking at Newcastle's form this year it would appear Pardew was actually a good fit for them.
But were they not on a downward spiral anyway?.... But a bad choice as owner Mike Ashley spends very little money anyway

Klopp has confirmed his sabbatical  :(

So another season with Rodgers it is.

Great just great...We are game over...

I wouldn't rule out Klopp taking over by January or next Summer, that is unless Brendan goes on a tear.

I think his tenure is shaky at the moment and he has everything to lose.

Who knows, Rafa may only last a season and he may be up for grabs. I sincerely wanted Rodgers to be successful with us, however I'm not sure we'll evolve enough to be challengers. The second half of the season, ManUre onwards, has been a team of powder-puffs with no real heart or desire.

      The run in was abysmal.

In 10th when he left only 7 points from 4th.

Only got 13 more points the rest of the season.

Klopp has done well domestically in two of the last three seasons. If he came here, is he of the calibre to attract top players. I'm not sure who he inherited and who he actually signed.

I did say at  the time careful what you wish for when folk wanted Rafa gone, we had it good with Rafa. Unfortunately he was fighting 2 battles, 1 on the pitch and 2 in the boardroom with the original cowboys. If FSG had bought us when Rafa was in charge I am convinced we would not be in the mess we are in now.

Totally agree with you regarding RAFA, also he would have the guts to stand up to FSG.

Been at Dortmund since 2008. The vast majority of his championship winning squads were put together by him and the Sporting Director there. Bender was brought in by him. Schmelzer was promoted by him. Götze was promoted by him. Reus was brought in by him. Kagawa was brought in by him. Piszczek was brought in by him. Hummels was brought in by him. Subotic was brought in by him. Gundogan was brought in by him. Lewandowski was brought in by him. Barrios was brought in by him.

He found steady 6-7/10 performers like Weidenfeller, Großkreuts and Kehl there and he found Sahin who was just a fresh faced 20 year kid who'd just been on loan in Holland and turned him into a player worthy of Real Madrid and us and the Arsenal falling over ourselves to bring him in on loan. Make no mistake about it Dortmund's successes over the last 5 years have Klopp's fingerprints all over them.

Rafa won trophies but our fans still thought he 'wasnt good enough'.

Football isnt black and white. Its unpredictable, like life. Man U lost 4-0 to MK dons, Chelsea lost 4-2 at home to bradford. We came back from 3-0 vs the Barcelona of their day in a final

What did Rafa 'win' before he went to Valencia?

He got Valencia competing with real and barca

We have a young manager who's show how good he can be if he gets things right. But like 'real life', it has gone wrong for him somewhat. There are going to be ups and downs, I think he should be given a chance to fix it. Sacking every 3 years is very unstable to players and employees.

Sack everyone mentality is why we got here, now theres slim picking out here and everyone is tryina convince us that Klopp is the answer even though his team was in the relegation zone most of the season ;D. Now theyre like what about that guy who won the Europa!? When 5 years ago we wanted our manager sacked for being in the europa cup.

Our fans need a reality check.

Mate, last summer, most of the people in this forum voted that we should sell Suarez cause he made 'our great club look bad' cause of the bite ;D

Delusions of Grandeur is going to be our biggest downfall in the future.

U listen to how some of these people talk and how they talk about how we should only have 'world class players' and 'liverpool standard' you'd think we weren't absolute rubbish from 1992-1999 ;D

One guy even tried to argue with me about how we weren't the underdogs in the 2005 Final. Like cmon bruv. Milan were the Barca of their time in 2005. What are these people smoking? (no JWH)

Its 2015 and our stadium holds 44,000 people, wake up and smell the coffee people.
