Excellent signing, someone who tackles and actually gets forward to put crosses in. Haven't had that sicne Finnan. Excellent bit of business this.

For those wondering how we've managed to sign him over other Clubs, we were his preferred choice  ;D

Milner isn't going to be a sub. You  might as well pencil his name in first. He didn't turn down all that money at Man City to be a sub.

Both very good players among the best RB in the league.

agreed only edge clyne has is he's 2 years younger and has been in the prem less time so can improve, but coleman for me would have been my alternative to Clyne if we couldnt get the deal done. Think Everton will get close to 20mil for him from UTD

Cheers, thanks for that. Hopefully Everton make the Mancs pay top dollar and it unsettles Coleman

Both are fantastic FB's but Clyne wanted the move to Anfield whereas Coleman would rather stick pins in his eyes than move across Stanley Park  ;D

haha we can dream i'm still hoping they pay 75mil for Ramos and he struggles to adapt to the league like Di Maria has and they drop out of top 4 again

That would be ideal. Or Ramos could pull a Terry and bang Di Maria's missus. Cause some fantastic changeroom drama, that would...

My brother is a ManU fan. Told me at the beginning of the window his main focus was Clyne since RB was a problem area for them. Was pissed when he heard the fee was 12.5M and that his club did not go in for him at that price. I have to think we stole Clyne from under a few of their noses.

Yeah, my friends, ranging from Chelsea & Man Utd supporters still can't believe their own club didn't come in for Clyne. Man City also could've done with him too!

Perhaps Clyne made it clear to his agent that he wanted us as first choice? Perhaps that's why the other clubs didn't come in for him? That really is the only logical assumption I can come up with.

United are supposedly after Seamus Coleman from Everton. Good player as well but should cost more

Yeah I would agree. I read a few Pearce articles from the Echo and he said that Clyne had his heart set on a move to LFC.

It could be that he also wanted to team up with the likes of Lallana, Lovren and Lambert again.

I was going to leave him out for that reason but I'd probably jinx it and he'd be made captain.
