We don't need another one of those though, do we? With Coutinho and Lallana as alternative it might be our best covered position.

Neither am I, convinced that is, but that doesn't change what I said does it? Coutinho being first choice for that position, and Lallana is good enough backup. It's still one of the better covered positions in our team, not exactly a priority.

Honestly though, if we are after Kovacic, I don't think it even is for that AMC position, as he mostly plays a bit deeper for Inter. More a CM, box to box. Which is also an area with more priority for us.

I think Kovacic can comfortably play as one of the two midfielders behind Coutinho, imo he is better than Henderson and Allen but assuming Henderson is captain next season then a Kovacic and Hendo pairing can do a job, only thing of slight concern would be their defensive duties.

Not really. How much do you think someone would offer us for Markovic now? About 10mil. Inter fans look at Kovacic in about the same way we do Lazar; obviously talented, but frustrating and not actually bringing the goods now. From most inter fans I know they say he has had a rather poor season - he looks good in highlights but hasn't started to kick on yet.
(This is second hand information, so pinch of salt, but second hand info from three chaps who watch the player far more than most of us do. Either way, we aren't really low balling here)

If Inter fans had their way Coutinho wouldn't have left in the first place. They definitely knew of his talents.

Unusually for me I took the trouble to watch a YouTube video of this lad. They're always impressive on there aren't they, and this fella is no different. His skill set on view is definitely different for a midfielder though, a deep lyer who likes to run with the ball. I think he looks like a very interesting player indeed, also has the look of a fella who is robust enough to make it over here. Whether we need him or are even in for him is another question, but he looks to me more suited to English football than Italian.

I see lots of potential in this lad but he's still quite raw. However he seems to have a few goals in him from midfield which we badly need.

Definitely looks suited to the Premier League. Can hold onto the ball well. If we could get him for 10/12 million I'd be happy. Not a CM though.

Then why are we after him when we'll have Milner, accompanied by, Hendo, Can and possibly Allen as backup? Then you look at the #10 positions, Lallana & Coutinho. Are we really gonna carry on playing that sh*t formation and 1 up front next season? I hope not

Don't see a point for another CM, assuming Milner signs, unless we offload Lucas or Allen or both. Even then we should be looking at a defensive mid.

I hope we keep Lucas though still think he has a role in the squad.

Milner, Ings and Clyne. There are rumors of swapping Sterling with Walcott and Gibbs. We're probably targeting PL-proven players this summer. The very reason I cant digest the fact we're linked to Benteke

Didn't suit the formation they were playing and wasn't getting games a bit like the LFC diamond  with Suarez and Sturridge saw him on the bench

They played a 3-5-2 and he just didn't fit with that.

Wasn't defensive enough for the left wing and not strong enough for the middle.

His form there was under Rafa who played him in his preferred role behind the striker or a left attacker sometimes.
