The team at one point released a captaincy order. With 5 of them still with the team not sure if everyone behind Milly moves up a spot or if they'll add a 6th, re-vote on a new order, etc

It might just be a case of Mo not being what the sort of leader the club wants. We all know Salah to be a greedy b***ard who is chasing individual records as much as anything and maybe that's not the best way to lead the collective.

Maybe he is not as vocal in dressing room and on pitch, but his attitude to training etc. is 2nd to none. Maybe hes more a do it by example guy to the players.

The point still stands that the club, whoever it is making these sort of decisions, doesn't (or at least didn't) see Mo as captain material. Whatever the criteria is Mo didn't fit it as well as others.

Whether there'll be a reshuffle now that Milner and Firmino have left remains to be seen but I don't think Salah will be in the running because, on top of the day Trent got given the armband for the first time so have Bobby, Ali and Robbo in games that Mo also started.
