Fine squad player, fully deserves an extended contract !

He's an absolute star is our Milly, I reckon he'd play for nothing as well 

think Jürgen sees him as important of the pitch as on it. As years and seasons have gone by I have come to appreciate Milner more and more hope he stays and continues to be one of the foundations we need to succeed

With the new 5 sub rule coming into affect this season, IMO it makes perfect sense. Throw him on in the end of games to help the youngsters and help see games out.

I see his biggest role is to teach Elliot, Carvalho, Jones, Doak, and Gordon how to be proper pros. I read a few weeks ago where he yelled at the boys to get off their phones and was saying "you just won the FA Cup. Soak it up."

WTF? Milner is a gem! Throw him in …? The last times he played significant minutes he did not one bit worse than Hendo. Milner‘s extension is pretty important.

Thought he finished the season strong and was playing well.
Along with the experience, influence in the dressing room, deserved another year, fair play to him. Great example.

Milner re-signing probably means that we will not be signing a quality back up RB. There was very little chance that was going to happen anyway but is probably now of the table for another year.

He's also important for the young kids. I'd like to rest the first 11 in all the FA and League cup games. I think Milner will probably captain the domestic cup team with maybe Bobby, Gomez, Tsimikas and lots of young players.

Backup RB will help us keep Joe Gomez who i believe has hinted at being unhappy with lack of game time. Being 4th CB option means he doesn't get as much time there so RB allows him another opportunity of stepping on the field.

Club friendly, reduced financial package, get to a keep a true professional for another year. Sounds like a win all around.

The club would do well to keep him around and Milner seems to want to be part of this squad in any capacity rather than move for minutes.

I think when he has played this last season, he's been as good as he ever has for us. and without the fouls he used to give away around the box, he's now confined them to the halfway line or more. Very professional and cunning.

That’s nonsense mate. He can still play. Didn’t let anyone down towards the end if the season in the games he started. I dare say he may be in the staff 12 months from now but I’m more than happy he has signed for another 12 months. It’s great news.

In a backup role he offers a lot, in multiple positions. Great leader and can still put in a good shift when needed. Don't know why anyone would be against this team friendly type of deal.

Of course he can but so could I………..there’s a difference between playing and affecting a game.

His wages should have gone towards a young goal scoring midfielder that could be the difference between winning the CL or not.

Are we becoming a sentimental club, we have already offered Hendo a new contract.
