Lallana is a good player.  Interesting how you think he would replace Lallana.  Kovacic is a defensive midfielder that can play in centre. Lallana is an attacking midfielder that can play on the wing.

I know it can't be fully trusted but, from the Youtube highlights he looks like an attacking midfielder, a very exciting one as well. This is the time of the year to be full of optimism   

Kovacic never played as DM. In Dinamo he played AM in Croatia AM, CM, even on the wing sometimes and in Inter mostly CM.

no he isnt. kova is a am, a cam to be acurate. although he can play in cm but according to the inter fans on their forum, kova's best position is cam. so we are basically buying a proper attacking midfielder to play as a box to box midfielder.

I, honestly, don't know anything about him Billo - could it be that, whilst attacking midfield is considered his best position by Inter fans, he actually doesn't play that role much?

I'm only asking because his goals to game ratio appears very low for someone who plays a lot (and is better) in an attacking midfield role.

SPLIT – Mateo Kovacic spoke to Sky Sport Italia today ahead of Croatia’s match against Italy tomorrow: "Having to play behind closed doors is an advantage for Italy. Rakitic? We’re really pleased that he won the final and now he’s ready for the match against Italy.

"Perisic is a great player, and I’m not just saying that from an Inter perspective. He’s very good and helps us in the national side a lot. If he comes to Inter, I’d be very happy. I’ve signed until 2019 so I’m 100% staying," declared the Nerazzurri No. 10.

Not really worried. Plenty of other options out there we can take a look at. Really hope we address striker and RB first though.
