I'd be interested to know how many people writing him off as a sh*te signing have watched him play at all? By all accounts he's rated highly at Bolton, and was voted their player of the season the year they were relegated.

I think it's a good signing. Massive, massive improvement on Brad Jones. Someone who can actually challenge Mignolet and keep him on his toes.

I've probably only seen him play once or twice and I honestly don't recall anything about him. All I know is that he only played 10 games this season for a championship level side. Maybe he was injured, which could explain that. However, if he was healthy and still only managed to be the backup GK at Bolton then I don't see how he could be a massive upgrade on Jones....

What a joke this club is becoming. Boltons number 2 is no better than Jones. We should have been looking at someone to challenge Migs position, seeing as apart from his shot stopping capabilities, he is a poor keeper.

I'll say it once again. This club is showing no ambition.

What about this tho': we sign a 'keeper who's way, way better than Migs then... Migs, who's way, way better than Brad, can replace him. Although, as it's more about money and investor profit than ability or team success, you are right; it was never going to happen.

Sadly the twisted notion that a team can become better by improving on squad players, rather than first team starters, seems to hold sway with the powers that be. Fingers crossed that changes soon; eh?

Free again! I suppose Brendan's job is to turn him into a £2m player next season and then he'll be offloaded to a championship or lower club. Buy at £0 and sell for £2m return. Good trade Mikey Gordie.

Anything is an upgrade on Jones but we should be making our number 1 a priority, not our number 2.

Mignolet will cost us more points/games than he will win us.

Been with us since 2007 and, after becoming blossoming into our biggest asset, he goes for feck all in 2015.

He's good, there's no doubt about it, but from their performances very little separates them. Bogdan has pulled off some truly impressive saves and had some great games, but so has Lonergan and so has Amos in his brief loan. Bogdan's distribution, communication with defenders, cross collection is average at best in my opinion. He appears to be moving to Liverpool with the reputation of being a pretty good 'keeper, which is fair enough and well earnt

I like Boggers, and think he's enough better than Lonners to justify us doing a lot to try to keep him.

If we learned anything ladt season it is that whilst Bogdans a bloody good number 1

Bogdan I'll miss as he's a good goalkeeper and shotstopper, but I don't think we'll miss him loads if we get someone like Amos in or Lonergan back. He's a good 'keeper and saleable asset, but far from the sort of calibre we should be bending over backwards to keep on high Championship wages. I'm more annoyed that he's gone for free than actually losing a player of his ability.

So we're signing an average keeper

Never thought for one second we would be getting a keeper to replace Migs...Bogdan is Brad Jones but 6 years younger and perhaps a little upside left...he has more experience starting then Jones...so not too fussed one way or another.

We best worry about signing strikers than goalkeepers.
