I was one who seen him as a possible signing for us and seen him in the Torres mould.

Not sure what the issue has been for him.

Surprised we haven't been linked with Vlaar. Selling Skrtel or Lovren and replacing them with someone on a free would tie in with the current business model. His wages are probably too high though.

I had a hard time understanding why Lambert refused to use him when he took over at Villa, and an even harder time understanding how he didn't kick up more of a fuss at getting NO playing time during what should have been his peak years.
