It'll be interesting to see if England can get anything out of this game. A point would be good IMO, France are a really good team.

France 1-0. It's been coming for a while, England have set up far too defensively. Bardsley again showing she's not the greatest of keepers.

France should have just had a player sent off for elbowing as she went up for a header, referee decided not to do anything.

This has been one of the most boring matches I've seen for a while. England have created absolutely nothing. Sampson has said England could beat anybody with their attacking style yet he leaves his best 2 strikers on the bench and plays a right back at left mid.

That was a very dangerous elbow! Really shocked the player wasn't sent off.

Atrocious. That female commentator did my head in too, always has done when she's commentating. She gets proper giddy over nothing and constantly going on about who's in charge of music in the dressing room etc.

One shot on target from England then - and I saw the shot on the news - it was a feeble half arsed attempt.

Good to see the women's national side have the same lion cub spirit that the mens side show when it comes to the crunch.

On a side note - it's interesting that there is only one Liverpool player in the womans England team (and yet LFC have won the last two league titles). But our mens team has a number of England internationals.  Important lesson there.  If you want to win things don't buy sh*t English players?

The women's team tends to reflect the men's team in a way. It's the big names that get into the squad first and then the remaining spots go to whoever. Lucy Bronze is a really good full back who signed for City at the beginning of the season from Liverpool and Natasha Dowie would also have been in the squad had it not been for her poor form this season (she's only managed 1 goal in 6 games).

We actually have quite a few British/English players in the Liverpool squad but they're not quite at the international level. Martha Harris, Rebecca Easton, Gemma Bonner, Fara Williams, Natasha Dowie and Kate Longhurst are all regular starters. Hannah Dale, Katie Zelem and Lucy Staniforth are squad players who don't get a lot of game time.

It's probably one of the reasons we're so low down in the table, some of the English girls aren't that great and like the men's team we only have one good goalscorer and when that person is off form or injured, the team struggles.

Asisat Oshoala looked pretty good for Nigeria the other day. She's one of our Ladies' players.

Unfortunately I didn't catch that game, might try and find a highlight video, I'm sure there's one knocking about. Was it the Sweden game?

Just seen the highlights, Nigeria's marking is worse than ours and that's saying something :D Two of Sweden's goals were so lucky.

The same commentator is again going on about who's in charge of dancing in the England dressing room :D It's all she ever adds to a conversation.

Was about to come on and post something very similar. Sampson needs to change the tactics, the forwards don't have any chemistry between them at all.

Karen Bardsley showing again how dodgy she is as a keeper. Not only is she not English but she isn't good either :D. Jill Scott is a player I think is hugely overrated too. She's nothing other than a presence.

There's a reason why Manchester City are so low in the table, half of this England starting 11 are City players.
