2 goals in 4 games.  Really happy for the lad!!  He had a sh*t a run of luck the last few years, so it's nice to see his hard work pay off.

Gotta hope the lad has a good career after his shitty luck when he was here.

A top fella by all accounts, and I wish him nothing but luck (except against us obviously ;)  )

"The striker will initially move to St Mary’s on a season-long loan before the transfer is made permanent on July 1, 2019."

He won't play against us as a loanee, at least in this season.

played really quite well and scored a penalty. He is clearly still playing the Klopp way he was always pressing but nobody backed him up.

      Yeah I know mate.

Was thinking more about the rest of his career.

I should have been clearer, my bad.

I'm thrilled for Danny to be doing so well at Southampton!  He is a model professional -- right out of the James Milner mould.  There will always be an element of "what if" for Danny, but it's nice to see he is getting back to his best.  Still has a bright career ahead of him too.  Would be amazing if he could pip Vardy to the golden boot this season!

Yeah, always liked Danny. Shame it didn't work out for him with all his injuries.

Go on and win The Golden Boot mate.

Such a weird phrase, why would anyone give away the winning numbers and split the prize pot??

BTW Danny is playing very well lately and I'm also happy for him, still don't rate him as a top striker though.

He's not a top striker but he is playing well for his club. Good luck, just not against us.

Consistency is key. He's a good striker but won't take him over Werner or Sancho.

not the point mate he is a top striker this season his record proves it and in a sh*t side too. Give the lad some credit he had a terrible few years with injury and overcoming the disappointment of his time with us he has done really well I am so pleased for the lad.

No idea what he was thinking on the Burnley goal, other than perhaps expected the keeper to be more alert. More than made up for it though.

He sticks out like a sore thumb in that Saints team, you can tell he was a Klopp player because his work rate is twice that of any of his team mates. He needed a season or 2 of regular playing time and consistency. I can’t see him being there next season and rightly so, he’s far too good for them.

I am more than pleased because he's a charater and a nice guy but he's not a top striker. He found his level.

he has scored more than Mo or Sadio in a sh*t team you cant argue with the Stats he has found his form and is currently one of the best strikers in the premiership what does that make Mo or Sadio ?

Better than him because they contribute not only goals.

of course they are because they have a record to prove it over a few seasons now but Danny works as hard as any other player. I am not saying he is world class by any means but his record this season is fantastic and a reward for hard work and in some way justifies why we bought him.
He is second in the Prem scoring list.

I am very happy for him and he should lead England frontline if Kane is still injured. He works hard but we are better club than his talent.
