£6m for a lad with just a few appearances for Charlton with the fee possibly rising to £10m, I'm sure we're all over this one. Our scouts showing again how redundant those passports of theirs are

£20m+ and god knows how much in wages, seems crazy to me to be spreading ourselves so thinly again. I'm sure that some of this is already the Sterling money but the problem is looks like the same kind of mistakes we made with the Suarez money.

Been reading up and Charlton fans actually rate this kid highly, they believe he's the real deal. They think his progression will stagnate if he joins us and won't reach his full potential.

Been reading up and Charlton fans actually rate this kid highly, they believe he's the real deal. They think his progression will stagnate if he joins us and won't reach his full potential.

He's big, very athletic and a good footballer. Like I said when I saw him he played right full back and was one of the stand outs amongst a couple of goodish looking Charlton players (I also liked a midfielder they had, black kid with a bit of a swagger, tall with a mad haircut, no idea on his name). This lad looked every inch a young Glen Johnson to me, but I must confess I'd never heard of him nor seen him play and at first impression he looked more like a fullback than a centre half to me. I was chatting to a random Charlton fan sitting next door and said I rated him, he confirmed they all thought he was a huge prospect.

Worth a punt I'd say, just because we need first teamers shouldn't mean we cease to function as a football club.
