I agree you have to enjoying the little thing also mate. 😄 That’s why I always 😂 when people say Gomez still a top player.   

He lost some pace he had which only makes him a good back-up CB not RB but when Wolves were putting the ball at the far post he covered and defended the headers much better than Trent.

I think that Trent would have played man to man tactic, if you pass, I will foul you. Gomez was very good with their crosses.

He was excellent wasn't he, as good a performance as i've seen him put in at RB, quite possibly his best. I like that Klopp has learned and simply got him to play as an orthadox FB rather than trying to play like Trent. He got forward really well, supported Salah and overlapped, put in some good crosses, looked after the ball and was defensively sound.

Pretty much. Joe always needs a few games before he is back to full speed. Never been a player to hit the ground running after a long period on the bench or the sidelines, but once you give two or three games to get back to speed, he's a class defender.

He's had decent runs of form in the past, the problem is he then has an absolute mare of a game completely out of the blue. Fingers crossed he can arrest that trend this season.

Another boss performance from Gomez. Hardly put a foot wrong this season, covering 3 positions. 👌

I rather he finish LFC career with about 700 appearances but zero goal score, that will be some record hahaha

Seriously I'm delighted Joe proves that he is a useful player for us. We need versatile player like him and good thing is he's homegrown.

And I believed people surprise of his injury-free this season, hopefully it's gone for good.

Glad he's redeeming himself this season.

Always thought he was a quality player that had lost his way a little after that injury.

As someone said above can play all positions across the back four and the flexibility is vital in any squad.

It's like a switch has flicked in his head like he knows it's now or never....fair play to him, and that goal isn't far off.

Stepped in when needed today, well done Joe and like rossyred said, we're sure gonna need him over the next month or so, great versatile defender, keep up the good work Joe lad.
