Gutted for Gomez. And for us.
One of the bright spots of the season so far.
Long road to recovery, keep the faith Joe.

Do the doctors give Sky a call first. I fu**ing hate Sky and that includes the big blue one overhead. Come on Joe, get well soon no matter what the
      problem is.

f***in' O'Driscol  - should have seen that coming!

In all seriousness, that is really sh*t news, this lad looks like a prospect and I was hoping to see him play at times in his more favoured position.

      Gutted for the lad.

ACL too one of the hardest injuries to recover from, hope he is the same young talent when he returns.

We seem to get more than our fair share of these.  Shame for the lad - looked as if he could have been a contender this season.

Hope he can recover and regain the form he showed early doors.

We really do have no right back cover at the moment then it seems. Clyne can't play every game so somebody has to get game time out there.

Shame we didn't keep hold of Ilori, he would have been useful right about now.

Pardon me, but can we recall players on loan at PL clubs? or only from lower tiers?

Devastated for him. Just hope he makes a full and complete recovery and this doesn't become a recurring injury.

Exactly why International football during the season is ridiculous. We aren't the only ones to be suffering though; City have lost Aguero, Kolorov and Silva, Chelsea have lost Ivanovic, Sanchez played 180 mins right after going off with an injury against the Mancs.

Something needs be done because clubs suffer at the expense of national teams. For me, it's club before country.

Hopefully Gomez has a speedy recovery but he won't be the first or the last to see his career hampered by such an injury if it happens.

I also think international managers should be held responsible in some way when they decide to play injured players (Belgium with Kompany, England with Sturridge etc.) I get that they have to play qualifiers during the course of the season but do they have to play so many friendlies and does there have to be so many qualifiers? Instead of having groups of 6 teams wouldn't it be better to just have 4 in the group, only 6 games are played instead of 10 and only the winner qualifies or something? It'd cut the amount of internationals down by about 6-8 games and the chance of injuries would be much less.

Couldn't agree 7KK7 if players want to play international football then they should do so in the summer break, clubs pay far too high a price and there's too much at stake.

Seriously tired of losing players to something that should never impact on club football quite so severely.

Are our young defenders who play at full back cursed?

Young enough strong enough and good enough to come back from this and be the player we all think he can be

Absolutely gutted for him. He done so well to get himself into the first team and ultimately that U21 call up. He's still 18, he has shown a great mentality in his very young Liverpool career so far. Time is on his side, come back stronger and smarter and I don't doubt he can fight his way back into the team.
