Don't think he had much of a setback? Perhaps the six weeks were an estimate as to when the bone would be healed, not getting Gomez back on the pitch again playing games. I've never known broken bones to heal quicker than six weeks. Think we are at seven weeks right now since the injury happened? Thereabouts? So from there on it's about two or three more weeks before he'll be good to go again?
Probably near March or something before we see him back on the pitch for us.
It must be a set back, you don’t go from having an expected return date of January put back to March without there being a set back. I think I remember a week or so ago Klopp saying there was a bit of a set back now I think about it.
It was a fracture, if it was a full on break then it would be expected, but often a fracture would be between 6-8 weeks. Nothing needed to be set back into place, nothing dislocated, nothing was torn at the same time. There was another player in the league who had a similar injury and returned after about 5/6 weeks I think. Will try and find who it was.
