Joe Gomez has had a really good season, he deserves so much credit, you never hear him moaning, just gets on with wherever he's asked to play and always does a job for us, every team needs a player like Gomez. well done Joe.

Well In Joe. Thoroughly deserved call up and he should go to the tournament I should expect. He has had an excellent season. Has replaced Milner as our Swiss-army knife. Right back, left back, centre half and even played a couple games as a holding mid. Could find himself starting at left back for England I think.

Always supported Joe he has been super professional and had a great season. I suspect he is very popular in the dressing room I hope he stays but understand at 27 it's an important moment in his career

With Quansa being so young and still learning his trade, and Konate No able to complete 3 games without injury, we’d be fools to let Joe go.
He clearly needs more game time to convince him to stay.
Awkward one for the manager, but if he moves on, someone’s gonna get a very good versatile player.

With Quansa being so young and still learning his trade, and Konate No able to complete 3 games without injury, we’d be fools to let Joe go.
He clearly needs more game time to convince him to stay.

Yeh I am struggling a little to see how we benefit here especially if a CB comes in for similar money and quality they would also need to be able to play FB to get what we have with Joe. After reading the policy is more to game changing signings not really sure how this is going to pan out

He needs game time to develop and he won't get that staying put.

Gomez’s problem is he’s looked suspect at CB for the last couple of years. He fills in well at full back but he’s definitely behind Trent and Bradley for the right and I think a right footer on the left is never a good idea so he’s probably behind Robbo and Kostas too.

I can see why he might want to move on for more game time at his age. I do think it’s risky letting him go now though given our strange window so far. I’ve not little faith we’ll sign a centre half this late in the window.
