Looks like Bacca is heading to Milan for £17.7 million.
I thought there was a 21.5 mil buyout clause ?

Appears Sevilla aren't so fussed about that.

He has agreed personal terms with AC Milan. Can't lie I feel kinda relieved. Didn't have a good feeling about this. Now onto other targets. I would happily take Benteke regardless of the price.

      Fabrizio Romano @FabrizioRomano
Carlos #Bacca has agreement with #Milan. Now Milan will start talks with #Sevilla. Possible deal

'I can confirm that Milan and the player reached an agreement,' representative Sergio Barila told MilanNews.it. 'Carlos chose what is best for his future, so it's only natural he is happy. How long is the deal for? You'd best ask the Rossoneri that.'

Now that will be interesting !!!
Ok he played for them ,(you know who) but he is a good box opportunist (for goals I mean)
the mancs will never agree terms with us  though

In regards to Bacca , milan agreed his release clause  €30M ,5 year contract @   â‚¬2.5M per year (according to sport mediaset. italia)
But still the  agreement not signed yet, Milan were in this same situation (agreed terms ) for Martinez, and Kondobia last week
and still they lost the 2 players to A.Madrid and inter
I am sure they will be more careful this time, and I guess they will secure this one

AC Milan have agreed a fee of £21m for Bacca:

Bacca rejected a move to the Prem because he felt playing at the San Siro was ''best for his future'', according to his agent.

Probably a few incentives in the deal to take it up to the 21.5.

I get the point regarding striker but I believe all of Milner, Gomez, Firmino and Clyne are excellent signings. Ings at the price could prove decent and If we happen to add say Illarra + Aubameyang then this will be the best window we've ever had (under FSG) imo. If we add just Benteke then the swing in the other direction is massive. So while there's room for plenty of optimism I wont go overboard until that striker is confirmed

the only reason i can think why this didnt happen same time as Firmino is the board offered lower than the 21.5 release clause, also his value will not increase it will go down but hes still a good player.
i think he's worth around 15-18mil if he didnt have a release clause and he would have went for that. still think we might have a chance if we are prepared to pay 21.5 for him as milian will probably want to stagger payments

The player himself and his agent said in an interview that he/they chose milan and not the premiere, because they think Italy is best for his future
So at the moment don't think he will be playing in England ,let alone LFC

so looks like this one is not happening, not sure how Benteke will fit in unless BR admits his formation and the way we set up needs to change

What??? Not at all. Look at the deals we've done so far instead of letting the grass grow around us.

Glad we aren't in for him, dint really think he suits our style and for the talked about price he'd have had a huge weight on his shoulders.

Yeah my thoughts as well. Would prefer someone slightly younger at that price as well.

Unimportant deals. Just like last Summer. Whilst the deal that needs to be done - replacement of Suarez - gets pussy footed around. I don't want Benteke in a Liverpool shirt, the thought fills me with horror but if we're that intent on getting him, pay the bloody buy out. The longer we take to sign our first choice, the more our second choices are signing for other clubs so if we miss out on our first choice again, who is left? That's the parallel I draw with last Summer.
