Must admit they're a great pair... of sunglasses.

If he needs an assist..., lucky b***ard.

Bobby is only going to get better. I predict a more consistent goal and assist tally next year. He will be a key player for us.

Read the same things said last year. Give me a clinical striker over a work horse 1 in 4 man every day

Don't be surprised if we're going after another Southampton player :lmao:

Four days on Luke .........    on message Sir . ;D     VVD.

      Ive got it.

Saints :  They let their 30 or so scouts do the front end business.   They then bring the player in and get them playing in the Premier League .

We save on all the scouting money and get a bedded in player.

THATS how it works mate .

      Simples .

      Our feeder club.

Now ... who else is in their first team we would like then?

Bit disappointed in him this season in all honesty.

Thought he would kick on and become one of the best players in the league but it's not quite happened

Hopefully next season is the one for him.

I think with Bobby, what you see is what you get.

And just as with the 'hopefuls' of last season, I don't see him miraculously turning into something he isn't.

      Yeah Congrats!

Something very dodgy looking about Allan, young gangster about him. Moreno couldn't be bothered having a shave and Lucas somehow managing to almost look the youngest among those 3!

I really don't get why people are saying his goal tally isn't good enough, sure it could be better, but people are quick to forget... Suarez's first season and a half with us he scored 15 league goals...add that to the 7 he scored in his half season with Ajax and you have Bobby's tally roughly for the two years.

This is when Luis was at the age that Bobby is now...Bobby is going to be so good for us, remember when people were saying Suarez just wasn't clinical enough? It all suddenly came together and I'm sure Bobby and Jürgen are working hard to get the same end result.

Not saying Bobby is Luis - or vice versa! But they are similar players

Suarez was suspended for his last season with Ajax, he scored 39 in the league alone in the previous it's a silly comparison.

Yes I must confess I read it myself and thought, let's be serious. I get that the lad rates Firmino, but comparing him with Suarez? Come on.

To be fair though, you did get the awful clichés such as "a scorer of great goals, not a great goalscorer" all the F***ing time during Suarez first couple of seasons at LFC.

And goalscoring records in Holland hardly mean much in the EPL. Hindsight is a great thing though

The more I think about it, the more I think Firmino should be our main #9, especially if Salah, Mane and Coutinho are in the team. He adds balance to the attack.

And strangely enough Salah just took Bobby's number 11

Nice gesture by Firmino. It's funny how in American sports players end up paying thousands, buying new kitchens, holidays etc. for another player's number if they want it :D

They're only similar in tenacity, and that's where the comparison ends.

Absolutely agree, I have read a few Firmino - Suarez comparisons on here and I can't for one second see any similarity. I like Firmino, hard working, skilful at times, will score you a few goals and he excels in that false 9 against the bigger sides but he simply doesn't have anywhere near the mercurial talent of a Suarez and he never will have.

      Bang on comment .
I can see Bobby get onto those evils exocets coming in to him from Mane and Salah.
Still need another proven striker for the middle with Bobby playing off him.

Nice touch the club has done re the old Bobby 11 shirts being signed ..... but would you still have the receipt ?
In the kitchen drawer ? In your jeans pocket that been in the wash how many times?
      I don't think so .

Did you not read where I said Firmino is not Suarez? Ideally they need to do a similar job for the team as we are playing with an unconventional striker up front...could describe Suarez or Firmino with that - and if he becomes a bit more clinical then he could grow into that role.

And yes Suarez did score 39 goals previously at Ajax...but Kuyt won the golden boot and could never replicate it here...Bobby is still young enough to grow into a fantastic player and I believe he will - that was my point...wasn't comparing them literally like for like - just saying we shouldn't write him off quickly
