Can't believe he looked when he scored v Porto.

 

Last night proved just how valuable he is to us. Changed the game when he came on to be honest. We all go on about his work rate and contribution to high press and defending from midfield, but I've not seen it so clearly demonstrated before. Oh yea...he also scores a few

Gerrard had adductor injuries, lost muscle mass as a result of infection, and got a recurring infection that was so bad, part of his pelvis split.
Before the chelsea "slip" game, he had an epidural to be pain free enough to play, and it wasn't the only time he had that done.

Firmino is a long way from any of that; a small tear in a small muscle (as described by Klopp) shouldn't hamper him too much.

Might well be a small adductor tear mate, but Gerrards problems were a lot worse than a little tear.
There's a documentary on Amazon I think, called "Make Us Dream" where Gerrard talks about the extent of some of his injuries.
Like most people, I had no idea they had been so bad.
Great documentary though if you get the chance to watch it.

Haven't seen specifics about Firmino's injury, but Klopp doesn't seem worried by it, so hopefully he'll be fine for weds.
