Club legend - I love talking about Firmino with proper football fans, they know quality and always wax lyrical about him.

He’s in the same bracket as Cantona, Djorkaeff, Zola - world class forward players who don’t necessarily have the stats for Squawka and Opta.

When he’s on form, he’s my fav player to watch since Gerrard, weaving in and out of space, ball stuck to his foot, beautiful finishing, tireless tracking and pressing.

He’s still well under 30 and his game isn’t about pace so I hope he stays for another 5 years.

Has been meh for too long now to justify starting ahead of Minamimo.

He is, seems a bit short of confidence in front of goal as well.

Made me scratch my head a few time today because of the contrast in his play. He was  so sloppy on some of the final passes or some seemingly simple finishes but he was sharp in the buildup and that turn on a coin he did that almost led to a beautiful goal when Mane and Salah exchanged the ball a few time.

The three boys upfront, overall, look sharp and if their performance today is only a warm-up then we are in for a nice season in the final third

Sometimes I think he's not quite with it, like his mind is elsewhere and he's not fully concentrating, I do think though he'll just get better as the season goes on, I'm prepared to give him time cos he's quality.

To me it’s like he tries to do too many things with a bit of flair to it. We obviously all like his no look finishes and things but today he had a great chance to slot it into the bottom corner with his left foot. Instead he tried to casually flick it into the other corner with the outside of his right foot which was much harder than going with his left.

      First game of the season.
If that’s his worst game for us this year then he will do fine.
As the above posters have said, he does tries to do too much with flair or try and do a few too many flicks but that will start to become more effective the more game time he gets or if he just tries to keep it simple for a while.
      Not remotely worried about bobby.

Bobby looked very rusty and he will no doubt improve into the Season.

Have a feeling he will score against Chelsea!

He needs to put on his scoring boots on but as always he sacrifices for the team. He needs to improve. Brewster can push him if he improves his off-the-ball game.

so do we just keep playing an out of form player or do we play someone else in his position. I'd vote to give Minamino a run in the team, or Rhian, if nothing else it would present a different attack to opposition defences. I feel we sometimes become a bit predictable with the Bobby, Sadio and Mo attack and the interplay between those three is not good enough. Against Leeds there were plenty of times where we had overload situations but failed to capitalise on them through poor choice of pass etc.

I understand Bobby plays an integral role in how Klopp likes us to attack by sitting deeper to create openings for Mane and Salah but he seems a yard off the pace the last few months and increasingly less of a goal threat. He seems to have lost all confidence in front of goal or else he's become overly nonchalant.

It would be no harm to give Minamino and Brewster some playing time I think some competition will do Bobby good and also give oppositions something else to think about.

Don't think we should be ready to test that against the Chavs and The Gunners. Let's just hope Bobby finds his form and quick. I miss his celebrations!
