We can re-sign him after the window, yes? He's just also allowed to sign a pre-contract elsewhere?

He'll  be offered a new short-term contract, probably one/two year extension

Really hope this doesn't come back to bite us.

I'm not sure of the logic of tying up countless thousands in salary on a player on the decline.

We all love Bobby but we're in danger of hanging onto far too many of these players based on old glories. We have to be thinking of the future.

He’s not been the same for years.
In that mane salah Bobby trio he was a key cog but last couple of years he’s been bordering on invisible.

In 2028 I bet we still have the same players we got now.

I mean to be fair, Bobby was our best player till he got injured. But he’s been injured too much (sound familiar). At this point our priority has to be fixing our midfield. I feel like Gakpo was brought in as a Bobby replacement as it were.

Do you ever see Harvey as that?  I do and I don't.  I don't as Klopp has never tried him there.  I do in that like Bobby, what he lacks in pace he makes up with slick ball movement, hard work, and high IQ.

I know u love Bobby, wondering your thoughts on that.

I don't see Harvey being anywhere near that kind of player. Bobby is a one of a kind but I do see Cody as a creator/scorer mostly a creator first, that's why I feel like he may have been brought it if Bobby is going.

But I am reading online that Bobby is close to a two year deal. I do love Bobby, and I would like to see him be fit and firing because if he is I feel like we are a different team, but he just hasn't had a good run of injury free play for awhile so who knows.

For me I'm not against keep Firmino for another one or two season.
The way our club work on recruitment at least I'd let him go after make sure we already got his replacement.
