r u serious, the man had a club imposed year out of footy, it's now almost 2019 and people still think he has a future under klopp? put him in the sturridge, can, ings etc. category, his body is nothing like what klopp needs in his system, simple as. club will have spent months trying to work out how to get some money for him

He’s not injured though is he?

Just doesn’t fit us. Can’t go forward and his distribution is painful. He’ll be off soon. West Ham seems a good fit.

James Pearce did an article this week basically just saying this team has moved past him and his days are numbered.
Little bit strange in that in Klopps first 2 season the only outfield player I think that would have played more than him would maybe be Firmino but he was basically an ever-present and TAA hasn’t been pulling up trees of late....

Not that strange. Especially with Mo essentially playing central from the right wing. We need an outlet and productivity from the right back - both things Clyne doesn’t offer.

If he goes we need another body coming in. An experienced head to push TAA would be excellent.

If you are comparing the first part of Klopps reign to now then you’re mad. He missed virtually the whole of last season and like Lallana, the time he has been out has been a killer for him because we have moved on massively in that time. Not to mention Clyne has never even been that good for us, you say TAA hasn’t been pulling up trees of late, well I don’t recall Clyne ever pulling up trees. If you want mediocrity then him and Lallana are perfect.

I'd put Milner against United, after that get Clyne back in. We need a real RB to cover TAA.

Clyne isn’t an option, except for maybe the FA Cup.

So yes, I think Clyne is as irrelevant now as he was before the Gomez injury.

I thought he might be rusty after such a long lay off but was top draw today.
      Good to have quality options.

Clyney had a top game even if he wasn't tested much defensively.

Nice to have real competition for places now.

What do you want, a medal?

Good way to try and twist my post though to suit your own narrative, a post that was done before Matip was injured, before Trent was injured and before Milner was injured.
If the latter 2 weren’t injured then he wouldn’t have played.

I’ve questioned this lads quality at the top level a fair few times but f**k me that was a performance and a half after that layoff.......

Clyney son - my cap is doffed at you sir 👏👏👏

I've always liked Clyne and was really happy with his performance tonight... when fit and on form, he's one of the most consistent fullbacks around. Got timing for his return too, with our injuries issues.

I've got to be honest. I thought he was a has been. He was long gone in my thoughts to the extent that I was eying Milner up as our deputy right back while Trent and Gomez got fit again. But he was excellent today, even more brilliant considering just how long he's been off scene. What surprised me as well was that he's still only 27 years old. For some reason I thought he was pushing closer to 30! He should only be entering the prime of his career right now so the opportunities are vast once more for Nathaniel. A fantastic comeback.

Was wondering why Milner was discussed all week as RB when we had Clyne sitting on the bench? Thought he wasn't fit and couldn't understand how he couldn't be ready top jump straight in. Then Milner ruled out ( have no idea why) and see Clyney in the squad.

Made up or him as thought he played a ripper, now it's his chance to shine.

      Really KK?

Clyne has never been a superstar and never will be but he’s steady, has a good engine and doesn’t give much away defensively. Given how he played quite bizarre that he’s 4th choice RB being TAA, Gomez (who given his injury record shouldn’t be playing full back) and Milner

His fitness regime must be on point to come in after zero games and play like that.
      Fair play.
