I'm kind of wanting him to come back in January because of the injury situation, but if we can get Nando fit again then with N'gog as his deputy I think it is better for Nemeth to stay in Greece for the whole season and get some decent playing time and experience.

Apparently he scored in the opening 20 minutes then went off injured.

Krisztian Nemeth admits that he would seriously think about making his loan move to AEK Athens permanent.

The Liverpool forward is on a season-long loan and after two seasons at Anfield without any first-team opportunities is considering his options.

Despite injury disrupting his time on Merseyside the 20-year-old is seemingly enjoying a change of fortune in Greece having scored three goals in seven league games.

AEK have endured an inconsistent start to the season and currently sit sixth in the Greek Super League, 14 points off leaders Panathinaikos.

"The fans keep telling me that AEK is a great club," he said.

"They're really impressive and certainly more enthusiastic than Liverpool's. What I experienced at the derby with Olympiakos (in which Nemethscored) was something that I've never felt before.

"I really wondered what the fans would be able to do if we performed better in the league. I think that if Liverpool and AEK work something out, I'd be extremely thoughtful about staying in Athens permanently."

Nemeth added that just because AEK were struggling in the league would not put him off signing permanently.

"It never crossed my mind to ask terminating my loan deal due to AEK's bad performance," he stated.

"Certainly, we should be better. I'm sure that we'll get better and along with the team, I'll improve myself too. I've fallen in love with Greece and AEK's fans."

Its our own fault - we have spent bucket loads on our youth / academy and when we have the chance to put them in we are fearful to do so.

How we will ever know if they can step up without giving them the chance?

Like it says earlier he scored 3 in 7 games and the team is really benefitting  - he could be doing that for us.

Their fans are raving about him and are dying to sign him up permanently.

Fact is it is our choice in the end. If Rafa wants to keep him enough, he will and he will tell Krisztian he has a future here.

This is the main problem with players proving their ability with other clubs. First they tend to favour the club giving them regular football, and secondly, if they are successfull else where, they become wanted and the price goes up. That then becomes hard to turn down by two financial leppers like Gillet and Hicks.

Should be here  , big mistake letting him go out on loan , torres was always going to get injured at some point  , having games has took Ngog up a level  and Nemeth would have give us another option giving our limited striking options

Don't think he will be recalled from his loan, the way I see it. Is he starting regularly at AEK? When Torres returns from his injury, his chances would be limited and I think he will gain more match experience at AEK. When he returns in the summer, he will have already copped valuable playing time.

Does the loan deal end in Jan or end of the season??

There is no need to rush him back but when he does come back, he has to be brought in the 1st team. He is potentially a hit at anfield... im hoping he breaks into the team when he is brought back to the club...

Its a full season loan so unfortunately we will not be able to bring him back in January.

As long as he doesn't leave us he can go this whole season on loan to gain experience. He has alot of potential and I would really like to see him play for us.

I'm not quite sure how he'd know that, as he's never walked out at Anfield in a proper full blooded first team game.
