      The club announced today that our Ladies keeper Danielle Gibbons has had a benign brain tumour removed and will be out of action for what could be months.

      All the best to Danielle and let's all wish her a speedy recovery!

      On a related note, the Echo should f**king cover both women's teams more.

      Absolutely. More exposure for the women's game can only be great. I was never too fussed about it beforehand but the women's World Cup that has really sparked a real interest in women's football. Some of the quality was fantastic!

      I've been into women's football here in the States for some time now. And even though we've won 3 World Cups, the exposure here is still fairly minimal. There's so much potential for it, though, considering how many young girls and teenagers play.
