      Mac's got a hefty amount of coaching (and managing) experience. Yes, it's not glittering but neither was Alex Miller under Rafa, but like Miller, I think his experience in actually managing is a bonus.

      It's an extra appointment so in some ways its a bonus, but of the ex-players, Mac is by far one of the strongest available. And be sure of it, he loves the club. He might have been here for "only two seasons", but its not how long you have been at the club, it is what you have contributed that stands to reason. And there's no doubt about Mac's contributions.

      Gary Mac was brilliant for us and will never forgot his impact he had on a young side, he also seems like a top fella and also has one of the best songs  :)

      Still think we need a defensive expert in among the coaching staff somewhere though.

      Well its good to have an ex player involved and he was great for us and look forward to seeing what he does - heard at Villa he had lots of good ideas but not the players to implement them.

      Interesting though that his appointment hasnt been met with the same fierce opposition as O Driscoll yet Gary Mac coaching career is poor.

      Smart move if you ask me if the rumours are true. Loved Gary Mac even when he was at Leeds, great player, massive experience, knows the club, and has won major competitions.

      Love good old Mac. Hope he joins up. He was a very calming influence on our team when he played, and looking at how young and inexperienced the team is now, he will be a a huge influence. Really hope this happens.
