      Qualifying rounds are under way.

Official Uefa site is to be found here: http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/index.html

Final to be held at the San Siro, just a shame we were no where near to qualifying for this, but would it just be an early heart break like last year?

Cheers, lost interest in this then.

Can't see the point in sponsor this competition when the vast majority of football fans will not see your product.

May get my tranny radio out and listen to games, like the good old days.

I don't have Sky. I've got BT internet and a phone line and I'm not paying any extra for all the Champions League footy - so technically it's not pay per view is it?

Anyway - here's the playoff draw.

      Play-off draw
      League route
      Lazio (ITA) v Bayer Leverkusen (GER) – 18 & 26 August
      Manchester United (ENG) v Club Brugge (BEL) – 18 & 26 August
      Sporting CP (POR) v CSKA Moskva (RUS) – 18 & 26 August
      Rapid Wien (AUT) v Shakhtar Donetsk (UKR) – 19 & 25 August
      Valencia (ESP) v AS Monaco (FRA) – 19 & 25 August

      Champions route
      Astana (KAZ) v APOEL (CYP) – 18 & 26 August
      Skënderbeu (ALB) v Dinamo Zagreb (CRO) – 19 & 25 August
      Celtic (SCO) v Malmö (SWE) – 19 & 25 August
      FC Basel (SUI) v Maccabi Tel-Aviv (ISR) – 19 & 25 August
      BATE Borisov (BLR) v Partizan (SRB) – 18 & 26 August

      COME ON BRUGGE!

The 10 losers join the 16 automatic Europa League qualifiers (inc us and Spurs) and the 22 Europa League play-off winners in the Europa League group stage.

Watched the Valencia-Monaco game. Martial, the 19 year old Monaco player, looked very talented, very mature too.

Tried and trusted. One of my best ever memories was listening to Liverpool v Olympiakos on 5 Live. When Gerrard scored - a moment me and my brother will never forget!

PSV are the pot 1 team in United's group. You couldn't make this sh*t up. They get a sh*t group every single time.

Arsenal on the other hand get a difficult start again with Bayern Munich.

PSG and Real Madrid are drawn in the same group. There's going to be some quality games in the groups.

Juventus and Man City grouped together.

The women presenting the draw is shocking. She was begging not to get United in Juventus' group because she's a Juve fan yet she's happy at getting City :lmao:

Peter Schmeichel is a disrespectful pr**k. There's reps from each club in the audience and he's there saying how delighted and easy Man United's group is (PSV & Zenit so far). He's right but still.

What a bunch of dreadfully dull and uninspiring groups.

As for Schmeichal - he really is. I remember him on MOTD a couple of years back completely insulting Southampton by demanding that Lallana move to Man Utd - a big, proper club. A massive bellend - apart from being a good goalkeeper the guy has no other calling in life. And he sounds like a 8 year old girl. A complete thundercunt.
